Looking back at 2010

Highlights

ELF ~ Blending Eye Brush
I really like this brush and for £1.50 its a bargin, really great for blending for smokey eye looks

Botanics Oil Free Moisturiser
A light oil free moisturiser which suited my skin wonderfully during the summer

17 ~ New Black Lipstick
An autumn colour which I really like, has a fair amount of staying power as well

ELF ~ Complexion Perfection
I just love this product, I can't exactly put it in words but I use it as a finishing powder to set my foundation and it evens out my skin tone further and makes me look more in soft focus

Sleek ~ Bad Girl Palette
I seem to have been late on to the Sleek Palette but think this one it completly me. Adore the colours and the pigmentation

ELF ~ Nail Polish
For £1.50 they are a bargin and they apply nicely and come in lots of different colours

Lowlights

Lush ~ Colour Supplement
Completly awful to apply, cakey no matter how I applied it. Very streaky.

Johnson and Johnson ~ Hair Minimising Body Lotion
A potion that doesnt do anything

ELF ~ Eye Primer and Sealer
Was split about putting this here as the sealer part of the product isnt too bad. Its the primer which is awful and seemed to crease even without applying any shadows on top!

MUA ~ Blusher Shade 1
Really chunky and overly powdery, has a lot of glitter in it as well. Really glad it was only £1

ELF - Eyeliner and Shadow Stick
I totally dislike this product unfortunatly. I think the concept sounds really great but in reality the shadow stick creases so badly with or without a primer, and the liner seems to be very smudgy and slippy. Not something you want unless its the raccoon eye look your going for.

Collection 2000 Hot Looks ~ #28 Hip Hop
This nail polish stains your nails something chronic. Its barely stained three months on thanks to excessive buffing and cleaning.

Review: Dotting Tool

I ordered these from eBay a while ago and have had plenty of time to try them out. I really like them because they give a much more precise dot than the sharpened pencil I was using before. Very cheap at £1.39 for frive including P&P and the different sizes are good too, doesnt make that much of a difference though.

*edit*
Thought I ought to post some photos showing what you can do with these. You dont have to just do dots though, you can use it for moving the polish around on the nail in to other patterns.

Nails: Glitter Matte Plum

This is a little nicer I think than the version without the glitter on. Much more suitable for this time of year as well!

Nail Art

This is something I attempted on my sister on christmas eve. I think it worked nicely!
Was really quite strange doing nail art on someone elses hands, although it was so much more easier than doing it on yourself.

And as a bonus these were some other nails I did for christmas.

Nail of the Day - Festive Bloopers!

So these three, pudding, present and snowman are all more bloopers really! Didn't turn out too well! But as they say practice makes perfect!

Nail of the Day - Festive Snowmen and Glitter

I thought I would attempt something free handed again, I painted all of my nails with ELF's Metal Madness other than my two ring fingers. The design on my right ring finger is clearly more simple because I am not so good with my left hand. Perhaps practice as they say makes perfect?

Eye of the Day - Festive Purples

If your reading this on actual christmas day, happy christmas!

I am more of a yule person myself and thought I would just post my eye of the day make up I did for the 21st.

So I used shades 7 and 8 for this eye look from the Primark Saint or Sinner palette below. Not usually one for sparkle, which is why I ended up getting a super cheap one! Seeing as it is the festive season I threw caution to the wind!
I also used:
ELF - Cream Liner in Black
17 - Wild Curls Mascara
ELF - Luscious Lipstick - Ruby Slipper

Eye of the Day - Green Pt.3

I know green isnt my colour but I thought I would give it another go over the festive season, besides I hadnt really had much of a chance to try out my ELF 32 piece palette. Mascara is 17 Wild Curls. I used:
21 - Bright green
30 - Dark sparkly green
And for lining my eyes I used 22

It was difficult to get the enough colour on of #21 it just doesnt seem very pigmented at all. There was quite a lot of fall out from #30 which usually would be very annoying especially as it has gold glitter in it. However seeing as this is the sparkly time of year I dont mind too much on this occasion. I dont think this is a look I will be recreating anytime soon but its alright for christmas I think.

Nail of the Day - Festive Dots

Not the tidiest of jobs but I will sort that out when I go in the shower. Quite festive I think.

Review: Aussie - 3 Minute Miracle Luscious Long Deep Treatment

Okay girls there is something I have came across in my hunt for a holy grail deep hair conditioner and that is with the following Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Conditioners...
So I am around 99% sure that both of these conditioners are actually the same product in different packaging.
The ingredients are above and although some of them are in different order they are actually the same. Now I am not saying anything particularly good or bad about this other than the fact it is a little bit false advertising.

What do you think?

Nail of the Day - Festive Reindeer

I hope you like these, they didnt turn out perfect by any means but hopefully you can see what I was aiming for with the earring that was my inspiration!

Happy Festivities!

I will be celebrating Yule, hope that you all have fun celebrating whatever you celebrate!

Love and Light

Oh did anyone else see the lunar eclipse this morning? I saw some of it but then the sky clouded over.

Review: Nail Wheel

So after having a blond moment as to what the point in a nail wheel was I thought I would bite the bullet and buy some. Having painted it with my polishes it is already helping me select the right colours and making sure I dont forget about some colours!

I got them from eBay and it was £1.99 inc P&P so nice and cheap!
