Review: BIC - Print Scarves

Not your usual review for my blog but something again I wanted to share!

I saw these two scarves on BuyInCoins.com and just had to order them both. I was dubious as to the quality especially for the price but I was very pleasantly surprised.

First one is this black one with a cherry print

The size of it is 150cm x 44cm
The site describes the fabric as cotton, however I don't think it is, more of a chiffon.

£1.98 - Buy In Coins

The second one I got was this purple leopard one. This is more of a autumnal scarf than the previous one as its thicker and a bit warmer

The size of this one is 170cm x 60cm
The site describes the fabric as rayon and nylon. I'm not 100% sure it is, feels like a thin cotton material to me.

The photo below is a much more colour accurate one

£2.11 - BuyInCoins

Review: Skullduggery Bath Ballistic

Lush say ~ Skullduggery is an eerie but magical celebration for your bathtub. We used brightening and refreshing lime and neroli for the fragrance and olibanum (also known as frankincense resinoid) to help that citrusy smell stay on your skin until the witching hour and beyond. Lime oil is a popular ingredient in remedies to combat congested skin, cellulite or simply to wake you up! We use expensive neroli oil as it is one of the few essential oils to be scientifically proven to increase serotonin production in the brain - Arriba! Olibanum resinoid, otherwise known as frankincense, has a woody, slightly fruity aroma and covers the skin with a thin, protective film, softening the skin. It is extremely effective on sore, cracked, de-hydrated skin.

I say ~ Well that's quite a mouthful all of that, and if it was a little TL;DR then here's a summery:
- Refreshing and awakening
- Increases your happy hormones!
- Great for dry, cracked skin

The scent is lime and that is the main scent I got from this when using it. A nice ballistic for refreshing you, doesn't make you want to go to sleep either which is nice seeing as most do.

Did the scent stay on the skin? A little bit
Did it live up to its claims? It refreshes and awakens, also I didn't need to moisturise afterwards
Worth the pennies? For an indulgent bath, I would get a couple more before they sell out

This didn't turn out how it was supposed to. Still wearable though so thought I would post it. I really think it would have been better if I'd added the accent to my thumb as well.

Review: OPI - Original Nail Envy

"Top-selling product for weak or damaged nails.
OPI Nail Envy is an award winning product that provides maximum strengthening and protection for your nails. Hydrolysed wheat protein and calcium encourage harder, longer, stronger, natural nails. Nail Envy is ideal for weak, damaged nails and can be used as a base and top coat"

For some unknown reason at the beginning of the year I had really bendy nails. So I got this nail envy and some herbal tablets, but more on those in another blog. In an attempt to get them sorted I chopped them all off really short and began using the nail envy every time I did my nails as a base coat.

Positives:
+ Glass like finish when used on the nails
+ Does help the nail bend less
+ 15ml Bottle
+ Brush shape is perfect

Things that put me off the product:
- Price
- Over use leads to brittle nails
- Can't clearly find out if this treatment is 3 free
(if you know, do share)

I do like this and may go on to buy the maintenance version. But I would not pay £18 for it. I got this one from BeautyExpert.co.uk using my tesco clubcard vouchers. I used them doubled up so I paid £10 worth of points for this. If I had weak nails again I would pay £10 but no more for this. Which is why I knocked two points off this OPI treatment.

Review: Feather Lashes

I grabbed this bargain in Poundland, always good for crazy things. I wanted to try feather lashes but didn't want to pay much for them because I only wanted to wear them for comedy value, as well as for fancy dress.

They actually feel quite sturdy, so can be reused. Don't feel like about to fall apart either

Very long, but not heavy in the slightest

For £1, what a bargain! They also had different colours.

Review: BIC - Stamper and Scraper

I found this stamper to be a lot better than the other one I was using. Don't rate the scraper, this one is plastic but I prefer an old plastic card. Don't like the metal ones either. 65p for the stamper and scraper, bargain.

The stamper however is softer and more springy, which helps me to stamp the design all around the curve of my nail as mine aren't very flattened. You can see how I stamp my nails here.

Oh and if you like you could always use my recommender code for an extra 5% off!

Soap and Glory - Make Up

I wasn't aware that Soap and Glory were bringing out a make up range, maybe I missed the memo or something! I spied this new stall in Boots the other day...

Did you know they were doing make up now?

Review: OPI Crystal Nail File

They say ~ Treat your nails to the ultimate nail file - a crystal design from OPI. This is made from hardened 100% non-porous glass with an ultra fine, abrasive 240 grit surface etched into it and will help to prevent your nails from chipping and peeling. It can be cleaned with ease and comes in a handy carry tube for storage and protection.

I say ~ Well as you know I don't like spending a lot of money on something so once again I used some of my tesco clubcard vouchers on BeautyExpert. I've used cheap glass files before and they completely failed, but these are totally different from those glass type files. This file is quite gritty and files your nails quickly, turning the excessive length in to dust.

I like the fact it you can file anyway over your nails you like without damaging them. Unlike emery boards you can wash it and that restores it to the original grit. The tube is a bit rubbish but you don't have to use it. Only drawbacks for me is the price and the sharp end as being so clumsy I often have jabbed myself with it.
