Review: Sea Kelp 30mg

I have been asked a few times if I take any herbal pills for my nails or hair. I have tried various ones in the past to try and help my nails, and this is a review for Sea Kelp 30mg from Good'N Natural from Holland and Barrett.

Sea Kelp

What is it supposed to help with?

"Kelp is a rich source of the trace mineral iodine. Iodine is required for normal thyroid function and the production of thyroid hormones. Iodine has also been shown to support normal energy metabolism and can help in the maintenance of normal skin"

"It is used to increase the metabolic rate and strengthen connective tissues including the hair, skin and nails."

What did I notice?

While I didn't take it for weight management it didn't do anything to help with that. I had exceptionally bendy nails, they couldn't break at that point because they were that bendy. I put my nails becoming the strength of a 'typical' nail down to these pills. Didn't notice it doing anything for my skin. I would repurchase these again.

The pill size is reasonable and easy enough to swallow, I took three a day for around six months. Vegetarian and vegan friendly.

(I wasn't using any nail treatments or strengtheners while taking these pills)

I'm not a chemist or a herbalist, these are my opinions and if you want to try any medication do check with your GP or someone working in Holland and Barrett. I wouldn't want to harm to anyone!
