Review: MUA Matte Lipstick - Wild Berry

In the bullet this lipstick looks very deep and slightly daunting, but once on the lips it really isn't.

A very nice berry lipstick, great for the colder months.

I didn't find this lipstick to be strictly matte, more of a demi-matte finish. It was comfortable to wear, very slightly waxy and didn't leave my lips feeling weird or particularly dry.

This is certainly buildable, and this means you can wear it semi sheer or to a deeper berry colour.

The wear time for this is really good as well, but I did need to top up a couple of times a day. Which you can do if you use a lipbalm, there is no weird wearing or flaking and bunching up of this.

Nails: Holographic Stripes

This photo doesn't do the holographic glitters justice. With every wiggle of the fingers the pieces reflect any light off and are most defiantly holographic.

Winter Nail Challenge: New Year's Eve

2013 is almost over, quite a year. Still 2014 is a new one and with that comes new opportunities, experiences and chances. Something sparkly was called for the end of 2013 nails:

The top three of these polishes for me would be: Despite there being a lot of Barry M the top three surprisingly don't appear in there. I do think that Barry M does deserve an honourable mention as during 2013 the brand brought out hit after hit (excluding the sequin texture trio). Clearly though 2013 was the year of the holographic's runner up polishes are...

3) Layla - Flash Black - This polish is so stunning, it has a strong holo running through it and it dances even when not in direct sunlight.
2) Essie - Leading Lady - This polish is a great festive red, has a subtle glitter running through it which makes it festive without it being over the top.

And finally the top polish of 2013 is...

1) A England's Sleeping Palace from the Burne-Jones Dream collection. I like this one because it has a purple tone to it and of course it is a lovely holographic finish. The formula is perfect and the brush works fantastically. An A England polish came in at number two last year which goes to show how stunning, and works of art these polishes are.

"An unnatural twilight has fallen upon the land" - a plum/coppery base hue filled with vivid prismatic life, as though mocking the eternal slumber of the entire castle - A England
