Make Up Collection: Mascara

Today I am sharing my mascara collection. I have more unopened tubes but these are the ones currently in rotation.

Maybelline - The Falsies
Soap and Glory - Thick and Fast
Look Beauty - Stretch Factor
Makeup Revolution - Amazing Curl
ELF - 3 in 1 Mascara

Maybelline - The Falsies
The brush is shaped like a cup, to cup your lashed allegedly. While I like the brush of this one I find it can get quite spider like quite quickly. Also my top and bottom lashes have been known to mat together with this one which is annoying.

Soap and Glory - Thick and Fast
This mascaras brush is massive, it does give thick lashes in a coat or two which is good. A nice one for a quick look.

Look Beauty - Stretch Factor
A very basic mascara, I only have this one in my collection as it is waterproof. Day to day I don't like to use waterproof mascara as it tends to pull my lashes out when removing it.

Makeup Revolution - Amazing Curl
This is the only none black mascara in my collection, this one is brown. It has a curved wand and is quite a basic one. I think it has some fibres in it but I haven't used it much, I think for someone with fair hair it may be a better choice but I find with black hair it looks odd. On myself at least.

ELF - 3 in 1 Mascara
A very wet formula mascara. The plastic brush is quite unique to me, good for separating lashes and adding definition while using the ball head at the end through the lash tips makes them look long as well as defined.

Avon - Supershock Max
Max Factor - Masterpiece Max
Primark - Ball Games
Maybelline - Lash Sensational

Avon - Supershock Max
The bristles on the brush are very short but I found that helped to get close to the lash line. Adds definition and coats each lash from root to tip. One of my favourite mascaras.

Max Factor - Masterpiece Max
A plastic brush which doesn't look like it would do much. However I really am liking this sample mascara. It defines and lengthens enough but not too much so great for day to day.

Primark - Ball Games
Similar to the ELF mascara wand, very dry and really doesn't do much for my lashes. Much prefer the ELF version.

Maybelline - Lash Sensational
Not sure if I like this mascara, it has a very wet formula, one I defiantly need to try and dry out a little. I find it has too much product on the wand and makes lashes very spider leg like.

Stamping Plate: Bundle Monster 424 (BM424)

This stamping plate is from the forth Bundle Monster set, the first CYO (create your own). It is backed with branded lining to stop it from being sharp, comes covered with a blue cellophane sticker which you have to peel off before use.

On BM424 there are two full nail images and three smaller ones. All of the images stamped across easily. I like the paw prints a lot and should use the butterfly wing image but it is a bit too small for my long nails at the moment.

You can see all of the designs I have used this plate in here.

40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Fashion

I keep seeing either furry nails or micro french nails around at the moment. Not sure how practical furry nails are, especially the really long fur nails. So I chose to do micro french tips, mattified as the matte trend doesn't seem to be dying just yet,

Review: Born Pretty Store - Nail Art Palette*

review-bornprettystore-born-pretty-store-nail-art-palette

This nail art palette is a small palette designed to be worn on a finger or thumb to use in nail art. It is made from metal which means you can clean it up with both water for acrylic paint and acetone for nail polish.

Here I used this to make a reverse stamping decal, I dotted some nail polish on the palette and then used that to paint on to the stamper.

I really like the palette because nail polish dries really quickly and so having the dot of polish nearer the nail was a lot more convenient than somewhere else.

The palette has an expandable ring back which means it fits on both fingers and thumbs.

Overall this is a great addition to any nail artists kit. Reusable and convenient.

Helps with nail art by being so much nearer to the nail itself, as well as putting an end to the use of random bits of paper / cardboard / plastic as a temporary palette.

The plastic cup I have been using for a small amount of water to clean off the brush or make a polish sheerer when using acrylic paint.

Nails: Animal Print Pants Outta Control

"This is how I roll,
animal print, pants outta control,
It's Redfoo with the big afro.
And like Bruce Leroy I got the glow!"
Sexy and I Know It - LMFAO

Looking at these nails I kept getting that song lyric in my head. I can think of a lot better songs to have stuck in my head but it always seems to be bad annoying ones, anyone else or is that just me?
