Empties: April 2018

Plenty of things used up this past month, including four nail polish items.

Barry M - Cuticle Oil - This was okay, I have already bought a back up [full review].
Leighton Denny Undercover Base Coat - This is nice enough, when its dried it goes matte so you know when you are good to go on with the colour.
UNT Ready to Go Peel Off - I really like this base coat, makes wearing glitter or gel polish so easy to remove, have two back ups already [full review].
Essie Licorice - Great black polish, and the brush is really nice too [swatch].

Alberto Balsam Sweet Strawberry Shampoo and Conditioner - This has a very artificial strawberry scent, it didn't linger too long on my hair. They in general were okay, not great and not bad. I don't think I would repurchase these but do want to try others in the range.

Soap and Glory Sugar Crush Shower Gel - This scent is amazing, it is a sweet sugared lime one and I really like it. I wouldn't buy a mini though, but would a full sized bottle.
Avon Soft Pink Bubble Bath - Normally Avon bubble baths don't have a scent once in the water or on the skin afterwards, this one however was different. The scent is a powdery, floral, lavender type, something a certain generation of women tend to wear which isn't something I like and so wouldn't repurchase this one.

Lush Thundersnow Bath Bomb - To me this was a bit of a blah bath bomb, it didn't smell of much once in the water or on the skin. So not a repurchase item. [full review and demo].
Lush Over and Over Bath Bomb - This was a better bath bomb, it was nicely moistursing and did leave my skin scented. Possibly a repurchase item [full review and demo].
Soap and Glory Righteous Butter - This seems to be the only body butter product I have used that I like. The scent is quite strong and it does linger on the skin but it isn't as strong once it is on. The lotion itself is thick and very moisturising but it does sink in and doesn't leave a tacky layer on the skin. I would repurchase this.

Johnson's Baby Cotton Balls - These were okay, did the job. Quite fluffy and I would pull them apart to use. Would repurchase these.
Neutrogena Pore and Shine Daily Wash - I found this to be a bit too drying on my skin, not sure if it did anything to my pores either. It did foam up and leave my skin feeling clean though.
Nose Pore Strip - I'm not sure of the brand, I used it because it has been so long since I last used a pore strip and I was disappointed. I found it didn't stick properly to the contours of my nose. I much prefer the black gel to use. Don't think I would ever repurchase these now.

L'occitaine Verbena Eau De Toilette - This was a gift and as such wasn't something I had high hopes for. It is scented of verbena, so citrus and actually I quite liked using this small bottle of it. I wouldn't buy a full sized but it was nice for a change.
Yankee Candle Wild Fig Wax Tart - One of my favourite wax tarts, the scent is strong and lasts for a good while. Will be repurchasing again.

Nivea Essential Care Lipbalm - I don't like this, I found it just left a waxy layer on my lips which turned to a white cast. Don't think I would repurchase this one.
Lipsmacker Fanta Lip Balm - Orange scented and didn't leave my lips waxy. There was a slight orange tint but nothing too much so I would use this again.
