Nail Polish Battle 2019: Green and Blue

Today we are going over the green and blue polishes I have amassed this year;

Barry M - Blueberry Muffin | OPI - Is That a Spear in Your Pocket? | A England - Manderley | OPI - Suzi The First Lady of Nails | Born Pretty Store - Myriad Star | Nicole Diary - ND01 | Born Pretty Store - Altair and Vega | Danglefoot Polish - Let The Wild Rumpus Begin

So there were eight polishes in this category, I really like the finished look I get from Nicole Diary - ND01, it is duochrome with scattered holographic pieces making it look almost cosmic. My only issue is you have to layer it over a black base polish. Another I liked a lot was Let The Wild Rumpus Begin, it is a deep navy / charcoal with multicolour holographic pieces.

That said I surprisingly for me went for the lightest of the three as the winner Blueberry Muffin. I am a big fan of the gelly range from Barry M in general and this has only increased with the change to the brush type, now it is flat, wide and rounded at the cuticle. This shade is something quite different in my collection, it is a teal / aqua cream. I would say that the shade is very hard to get a colour accurate photo of, it is more like the swatch picture than the bottle shot.

Swatch: Born Pretty Store - Magnetic Star River Series - Altair and Vega [#43679]*

Born Pretty Store Magnetic Star River Series in the colour Altair and Vega is a holographic, duochrome, magnetic polish. It is part of the same collection as Myriad Star. It has lots of different aspects to it which I think makes a great nail art look without actually doing anything. It looks spacey, a good base for galaxy nails.

You do need to use a black base coat to make this pop, which is what I did in the swatches below. You will also need a small magnet to hover above the polish for about 10 seconds to create the look.

Because of all the different aspects this polish is difficult to photograph.
