26 Great Nail Art Ideas: Halloween Negative Space

In my head these should have looked a bit better, so I thought I'd add fairy dust seeing as that usually makes things better. But I used the wrong glitter and so instead of a fine holographic glitter it was a dense chunky glitter. Oops!

Nail Polish Battle 2016: Glitter Polishes

Nails Inc - Silver Road Snow Globe // Make Up Gallery - Precious Gold // Sally Hansen - Bling-tastic // Avon - Dazzle // Chit Chat - Violet // China Glaze - Cackle if you Want to // Essie - Haute Tub

I'm not huge on glitter polishes, so it was quite easy to eliminate a few glitters coming down to the top three. Nails Inc is a great topper, perhaps a little gimmicky in that you have to shake it like a snow globe but still pretty. The other two polishes are opaque in two coats.

Dazzle wins this round because it is particularly appropriate at this time of year. Unlike Haute Tub you can tell at a glace that it is sparkly rather than being almost a blackened colour.

Nails: Top 5 Winter Polishes 2016

Now that December is upon us I thought I would share this years top 5 winter / festive nail polishes with you all. Expect lots of sparkle!

 Nails Inc - Silver Road Snowglobe // OPI - Let Your Love Shine // A England - Encore Margot // Kiko - Violet Microglitter 255 // A England - Natasha's Dance

First is OPI's Let Your Love Shine, it is a gorgeous deep red with red glass flecks running though it.

Next is A England and Encore Margot, a silver holographic which is sparkly and quite holographic when in the rare winter sun!

What would a top 5 nail polish picks be without a purple. This one is Kiko Purple Microglitter, a dark purple base with multi coloured micro glitter.

In dark light this looks almost black, with any light shining on it though it comes alive with a beautiful holographic shine

And finally we have a silver glitter in a clear base, which can be used as a cuticle accent gradient or as a wash of sparkle over the entire nail. You have to have some kind of actual full on glitter at this time of year I think!

Nails: Snowmen

The temperature really has seemed to have dropped here in the North of England, hopefully there won't be any snow soon though!
