Review: OPI - Original Nail Envy

"Top-selling product for weak or damaged nails.
OPI Nail Envy is an award winning product that provides maximum strengthening and protection for your nails. Hydrolysed wheat protein and calcium encourage harder, longer, stronger, natural nails. Nail Envy is ideal for weak, damaged nails and can be used as a base and top coat"

At the start of the year I had really bendy nails, so I got this nail envy. In an attempt to get them sorted I cut them all really short and began using the nail envy every time I did my nails as a base coat.

Positives:
+ Glass like finish when used on the nails
+ Does help the nail bend less
+ 15ml Bottle
+ Brush shape is perfect

Things that put me off the product:
- Price
- Over use leads to brittle nails
- Can't clearly find out if this treatment is 3 free?

Review: OPI Crystal Nail File

They say ~ Treat your nails to the ultimate nail file - a crystal design from OPI. This is made from hardened 100% non-porous glass with an ultra fine, abrasive 240 grit surface etched into it and will help to prevent your nails from chipping and peeling. It can be cleaned with ease and comes in a handy carry tube for storage and protection.

I say ~ I've used cheap glass files before and they wear out, but this is different. This file is quite gritty and files your nails quickly, turning the excessive length in to dust.

I like how you can file all ways over your nails without damaging them. Unlike emery boards you can wash it and that restores it to the original grit. Only drawbacks for me are the price and the sharp end as being so clumsy I often have jabbed myself with it.

Review + Swatches: ELF 100 Eyeshadow Collection

I wasn't going to do this review / swatch simply because it was a limited item. However it seems that Eyes Lips Face have brought this back for Christmas 2011!

I quite liked the external packaging, snowflakes make for quite the festive feel

Once opened you get this large palette with 100 shades of eyeshadows

Almost all the shades you could ever want!

Positives
+ 6.6p for each colour!
+ Wide range of shades, perfect for trying out new shades
+ Comes with a mirror inbuilt to the lid
+ Feels sleek, with matte black packaging

Negatives
- Some of the shadows aren't very pigmented (as seen in below swatches)
- The black particularly isn't pigmented, however #80 is which makes up for this
- The red is a particular let down
- The lid doesn't open up to be flat, resulted in hinge breaking and the lid snapping off
