Review: Montagne Jeunesse - Blemish Mud

Thought it would be useful to preface this with my skin type, I've got combination skin which is prone to hormonal acne.

"Enliven your skin and help combat unsightly blemishes with our Aloe Vera and Willow Blemish Mud. Our special blend of nature’s remedies naturally targets your problem areas for a clear and clean complexion"

First thing I noticed was the packaging, I really struggled to open the old style sachets without scissors but this while wasn't easy to tear it was easy to get around a centimetre tear in which was perfect to squeeze out the blemish mud.

Not enough product in one sachet for more than one use but then again it is a single use sachet!
So I slapped on the mud and tried to relax for about 20mins, these masks always show up my enlarged pores (thank goodness for make up primer).

I wasn't sure what to expect from the scent, a mud could have smelt terrible but this was more fresh. Reminded me of something I used for teenage acne, I put that down to the witch hazel which does actually help breakouts.

It dried out on the skin and was easy enough to get off with my little scrublet. My face did need moisturising afterwards and it felt relatively clean. I think the main thing was my skin was less blotchy than before using.

The package says to use weekly and by doing so I would imagine you could get an accumulative effect from using. Much more of a practical face mask than a relaxing fruit one, but one I would use time and time again. As with all Montagne Jeunesse products this is animal friendly which is certainly a positive!

I would recommend it to people with acne, spots and hormonal break outs for teenagers and adults a like.
