Review: Lush Bubble Bar - Three Gold Rings

Another week and another Lush Bath Sunday, so this is a Bubble Bar from Lush's 2011 Christmas Range.

"A luxury foaming bath of gold and vanilla. Three Gold Rings is a bath of bling, for days when what you need most is a bit of luxury and a sense that all is well with the world.

It’s swirling waters of shimmering gold will mesmerise you, whilst it’s rich, layered vanilla fragrance will wrap you in a comforting hug.

This product contains Simon’s fine vanilla fragrance of myrrh resin, sweet orange oil and vanilla absolute that he developed for our Crème Anglaise body lotion.
Swoosh the water for ripples of shimmering gold, meditate on the patterns and let life pass you by for an hour" - Lush

Not being shy in the description there, Lush is very right in the fact that this bubble bar is a bit of bling. Looks gold when its solid form, makes the water shimmer with a lot of golden particles. Turns the water a golden colour and you can't help but notice all of the glitter not just floating on the surface but throughout the depth of water.

The scent is gender neutral which is nice for those days when you don't want to end up smelling too girly or manly. Vanilla is there but not a sickly sweet one, more straight up actual vanilla. This bubble bar lived up to its name and made loads of bubbles which was lovely.
Now on to the important glitter factor... While there is no glitter in this bubble bar there is a shimmer factor. I didn't end up looking like something Ke$ha threw up, which is always good. However the bath was coated in a layer of the gold shimmer. All the way round, and from the bottom to the top. And having to scrub clean the bath after relaxing in it seems to defeat the object.

Not something I will be repurchasing but still not a regret purchase.
