Review: Lush - Rose Jam Bubbleroon

lush_rose_jam_bubbleroon_review_enigmatic_ramblesWhat is a 'bubbleroon'? Basically it is a bubble bar which you crumble under a running tap in the shape of a macaroon.

What do Lush say?"A bath that helps you get out of it feeling better than when you got in. With lemon to bring clarity and alertness and rose to lift the spirits. The geranium oil in here will balance the skin, whilst the coconut oil and shea butter will leave you feeling smooth and soft. This smells of roses, with the sweetness of jam".

What do I think?I was in need of relief, I was suffering with an exceptionally painful shoulder / neck and thought a soak would help. Which I think it did, not massively but enough to knock the edge off! I don't think it was solely down to the bubbleroon, more to do with the warm water. I did feel a bit better after the bath, like I could carry on with the rest of my day and that I think was down to the Lush bath experience.

lush_rose_jam_bubbleroon_review_enigmatic_ramblesWhen I think of rose scented things it isn't something which appeals, I imagine it being a scent for the more mature woman. This isn't like that thankfully, less floral but not sweet. The scent didn't linger on my skin for too long afterwards.

My skin didn't need body lotion afterwards which was great. I easily twisted the two halves apart and only used one half in the bath, it created a reasonable amount of bubbles but wouldn't describe it as a decadent bubble bath.

Would I repurchase?
I got this for Christmas as a gift and while it was nice to try something new, I would prefer to repurchase a luxury bath melt. For skin moisturising and pick me up qualities that would be 'You've Been Mangoed'.

Lush - £3.50
