Another cheap and cheerful tutorial coming your way, the colour combinations are up to you and along the way I have had a few disasters!
So what do you need?
Base and topcoat
Two polishes - I used A England Tristam and A England Ascalon
Make Up sponges, I got a pack of 50 or so in poundland (don't have any? a kitchen sponge works too)
Paint your nails with a base coat and then one of your polishes

Once that has dried paint a stripe of both polishes next to each other on the sponge

This is a subtle holo gradient but you can choose your own colours and make it more obvious. If you aren't getting on with the method I use, then do check out TheNailasaurus as her tutorial may work better for you.

Dab this over your nail until it looks how you like it to look, make sure to top up the polish on the sponge if it is needed

Clean up if you have made a mess (don't worry, everyone does). Top coat it and you are done!

I do mine you way (instead of The Nailasaurus') it's taken me quite a bit of practice, but it does work very well for me!
ReplyDeleteI find it easier this way than her way, but it is a case of do what works for you :)
DeleteI do something like TheNailasaurus only simpler, I just add 2-3 stripes of colours on the sponge and move a little up and down on the nail while sponging, this is the only way I can make it work.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty colours btw :D
I've not tried with more than two colours, I'll have to give it a go.
DeleteThose colours are fab, looks great!
ReplyDeletethank you :)
