Review: Lush - Dark Angels Facial Cleanser

"Where angels fear to tread. We invented this as an alternative to Angels on Bare Skin for people with oilier skins. Rhassoul mud, charcoal and black sugar combine to create a very absorbent and exfoliating cleanser" - lush.co.uk

Dark Angels was Lush's way of creating a product similar to Angels on Bare Skin, but for oilier skin types.

Dark Angels is a think almost solid product, similar in consistency to modelling clay. You basically take a pinch of the cleanser and mix it in the palm of your hand in order to create a paste. Which you then go on to massage over your face.

It really does leave your face feeling clean and because of the pieces of charcoal exfoliated. It will make your face black so you have to be careful when rinsing it off your face if you were at a sink rather than in the shower as it may stain your clothes. Quite a messy experience but worth it.

I'd not recommend this to anyone with sensitive skin because it is quite exfoliating. However for twice a week exfoliation on an combination to oily skin type I would suggest you go get a sample and try it out.

100g - £6.50

  1. I really want to try this as I am curious as to how it feels.

    1. quite gritty. Go ask for a sample, or if you are in the shop they usually have a bit out for touching / sniffing purposes :)
