Review: ELF - Flawless Finish Foundation (Porcelain)

ELF - Flawless Finish Foundation - Porcelain

"Achieve a flawless complexion with the silky smooth e.l.f. Studio Flawless Finish Foundation. The lightweight formula blends in naturally for a beautiful semi-matte finish. This liquid foundation applies easily and lasts all day for visibly brighter and radiant looking skin. Using our Flawless Finish Foundation not only restores uneven skin textures and tones, but most importantly, the SPF 15 protects your skin against harmful sun damage!" - ELF UK

I found this foundation applied better with a damp makeup sponge rather than fingers, a traditional foundation brush or a buffing brush.

My skin is oily / combination and I found it did try and cling to any slightly dry patches and as such I wouldn't try and use it on a day where I had dry patches.

After around five hours it did break down over my t-zone even after using it with a primer.

The texture of this foundation is more on the liquid side, it is not a thick liquid.

This didn't oxidise on my skin. Porcelain is the current lightest shade, it is a bit too dark for me personally but is workable with .

It dries to a semi matte finish, so for me personally I like to powder it to help it last as long as possible.

Coverage is medium, it would begin to cake if you try and build up the coverage to a full coverage.

There didn't seem to be much of a change when the foundation is photographed despite it having a SPF of 15 in it.

I like the packaging, it is frosted glass and has a very useful pump which is amiss in other foundations (looking at you Revlon!)

If you are on the oily side and can find a shade match then I think its worth trying. While I liked the foundation and would give it a 3 out of 5 it isn't one which I would be purchasing again because I prefer Revlon Colorstay or NYX High Definition Foundation more.

  1. I used to have this foundation and I wasn't really happy with it, it made me oily pretty quickly even with a powder! The packaging is amazing though, I must admit that! X

    1. Yeah, I'm back really liking Revlon ColorStay at the moment :P

    2. Favorite foundation ever for oily skin! I will buy it again at some point! x
