Review: Avon - Moroccan Argan Oil

Nourishing serum suitable for all hair types and for use on wet or dry hair. Instant shine, smooth finish. Weightless movement and leaves no residue. With Argan Oil and Vitamin E. Dispense product in to palms of hands and distribute evenly through damp or towel dried hair - Avon

I am now on to my second or third bottle of this hair oil, and since first using it in 2011 a hair oil is something now I wouldn't be without. Adding oil to your hair may seem like a strange thing to do, but if you don't use too much then it doesn't make your hair greasy feeling or looking. If you have short or really fine hair then I'm not sure a hair oil is something you would need to use. The idea is as I understand, that your scalp naturally produces oils to coat and protect your hair, the longer your hair gets the less likely your hair is going to get fully coated and protected naturally.

+ Pump bottle: easy to use and accident prone user friendly!
+ Price: the RRP is £5.50 but Avon very often have offers on
+ Doesn't leave your hands sticky after using
+ Doesn't make your hair sticky or greasy
+ Adds shine, leaves the lengths and ends feeling smooth and silky
+ The scent is pleasant, not over powering, doesn't linger in the hair
+ I find it helps drying time on my long hair, it literally can take all day to dry naturally. This can reduce this to a couple of hours
+ Used on wet or dry hair it helps to tame flyaways, I don't usually use heat on my hair and so using around four pumps on my hip length hair helps to smooth the hair and lets me wear it straight without having to straighten it

- Glass bottle: while it does make it feel more expensive and probably is better for containing oil within, it is breakable and heavy making it not great for travel
- It is possible to use too much of this product, use less and build up more until you know how much your hair type can take

The consistency of this 360 Advanced Techniques Moroccan Argan oil is quite thick, a lot thicker than Moroccan Oil and John Frieda Perfect Ends Infusion. It is only slightly thicker than the V05 Miracle Concentrate.

While this claims to be an argan oil based hair oil from the ingredients I'm not sure this is the case, the ingredients so show a lot of silicones which can be a pro or a con depending on if your hair likes cones or not. For me my hair likes silicones and I like having hair which feels smooth even if really it is just coated and really not smooth.

I would recommend this to anyone looking for a hair oil, not only for straight long hair but it works well with curly hair as well. It helps to define curls and make them shine.

  1. I haven't tried this hair oil yet, but my hair likes silicones as well hahaha, so it's on my wishlist! ;) Nice review girl ! x

    1. If you have curly or wavy hair you may have to use more than I did with straight hair. Either way though its cheap enough to have a go of :)
