Nail Art: Pride 2021

The LGBTQIA+ flag has been updated in the past couple of years.

Topic Tuesday: Dream Custom Polish Collection

If I were to design a collection it would be based on current wishlist items that I haven't managed to add to my collection. Recently I was looking for a blue purple ghost flakie polish, and a yellow holographic.

Stamping Plate: Nicole Diary L01

I don't remember when I bought this but it was sometime last year.

The stamping plate comes with a blue protective layer which you peel off and branded backing. It is a large plate measuring at 145mm by 950mm.

The majority of the images on this plate are designed to be used as a layering plate, I have tried to use it but do need to practice with lining everything up. All the images stamp across well, the engraving works fine.

I've used this plate in a few sets of nails;

Nail Polish Swatch: Aj Nails Collection - Peacock

After realising last year I didn't have a yellow neon polish and resolving that I saw I lacked a neon green. I wanted one which was vegan and cruelty free as well as not needing white undies. Peacock did meet all of those specifications.

Review: Maybelline - Dr. Rescue Peel Off Base Coat

I bought this in 2017 tried it once and it spent the next four years gathering dust.

When I first used this I didn't like it, it didn't help my polish pop off. But if I hold a cotton ball soaked with polish remover on the nail it helps to loosen the polish at the base of the nail and then I can peel off the glitter polish.

There is no scrubbing for hours to remove glitter and actually this base coat not popping off it can be a good thing if you want to wear your polish for a few days.

The neck on this polish is quite long which makes it harder to use, the above photo should show that. Especially difficult the further down the bottle you get.

Maybelline is a mainstream brand and as such is easier to purchase than something from an indie brand.

I still prefer UNT, however this isn't awful and I have almost finished using this bottle.
