Nails: Neon Marbled Effect

These nails were done by dabbing a carrier bag on to them, I actually prefer to do it this way rather than using a piece of cling film (saran wrap). I got a little inspired by a challenge I did for Adventures In Stamping. I think it looks almost marble like, and the pink is very vibrant need sunglasses to look at it!

Swatch: Barry M - Pink Sequin

This is one of a set of three 'Sequin' effect polishes brought out by Barry M for Summer 2013. I have seen a lot of negative reviews of this but you never know someone might like this sort of effect. I don't like to do negative reviews, especially for a brand I like so much, however it does go to show that even great brands can have dud products. That said I am quite sure Barry M will take on all of this criticism and come up with something amazing again next. 

Really these polishes could have been really amazing had they not have been textured, they could have been like a lot of a the indie glitter polishes but a lot easier to get a hold of. I personally found it very difficult to wear, it caught on everything and snagged my hair. The photo shows two coats. Basically these are a very textured polishes, with the addition of chunky varying coloured glitters. As the glitters are so large they don't lie flat on the nail and along with the texture base polish it just leads to an extreme texture, thick effect.

After reading all of the reviews and knowing that these were exceptionally textured and thick polishes I doubt I would have personally purchase these. I actually won these in a competition and thought I would share with you the effect. It is up to you judging from the photos if this is something you may like to get.

Sunday Stamping: Plate Ending in an 8

Today we were to do some stamping using a plate ending in an 8. So I had a look through my stamping plates and came across M08, and so I used some of the butterflies over a pink gradient base.

Gradient Polishes: Models Own - Pink Blush, ELF - Hot Pink, ELF - Rosy Raisin

Nails: Sea Horse Nail Jewellery

For today's nails I sponged some La Femme Skyblue over Maybelline Cool Blue to get a sea sort of texture. I then stuck a little sea horse from Hex Jewellery to my ring finger.

Swatch: Look Beauty Nail Pop - Pearl Effect 20

This is the second of the two Look Beauty Nail Pop's which I currently own, there are a couple of others I like the look of but for now I own this Pearl Effect top coat which is a blue flakie. Along with Sequin Effect which is a orange / green duochrome flakie topcoat. Again I have swatched this over a black cremé polish.

This is very similar if not a dupe for Maybelline Cosmic Flash and Claire's Iridescent.

I think it looks quite nice with a matte topcoat.
