Review: OPI - Avoplex Nail and Cuticle Replenishing Oil

I got a mini avoplex in a set as a gift around Christmas time and hadn't used it before, I have been using it now for around a month.

I like to use a cuticle oil 2 or 3 times a day around my cuticles and underneath the length. I had been using Leighton Denny's Slick Tips. I use a cuticle oil to help my cuticles look moisturised as well as to help my nails to be able to bend, the ideal is strong nails but nails which can bend somewhat without breaking.

Avoplex smells fresh and clean, I'd like to say it smells of cucumber but it doesn't say in the ingredients it has this in.

The texture of this is thicker than slick tips, feels quite silicone like although it doesn't list this as in the ingredients.

It sinks in to the skin quickly and doesn't leave a sticky or oily residue. I also find this doesn't aggravate my eyes if I get it near them, not that I would recommend putting it in your eye but for accident prone people like me it does happen.

The mini 3.75ml bottle comes with a brush applicator which I really like, it gives me more control over where it goes over say a dropper type application. I think the full 15ml bottle also comes with a brush whereas the 30ml bottle is a dropper but that looks more for professional salons.

Avoplex contains vitamin E, avocado, sunflower, sesame and kukui nut oils.

  1. I am a bit afraid of all things that have been made for cuticles, the first product I ever got was said to moisture the skin but also prevent the cuicles from growing too much and damn, that hurt and after trying to get it off again I had to go to the hospital XD
anyways, this sounds like it would be worth a try!

    1. That sounds awful! No wonder you are afraid to try something else!
