Swatch: ELF - Jumbo Lip Gloss Stick Tiki Torches

ELF-eyes-lips-face-swatch-review-lip-gloss-stick-jumbo-tiki-torches

ELF-eyes-lips-face-swatch-review-lip-gloss-stick-jumbo-tiki-torches

"The Jumbo Lip Gloss Stick is a tinted lip colour that glides on like a lipstick but looks like a gloss. With nourishing Jojoba, Soybean and Vitamin E key ingredients, it conditions and moisturises the lips. The twist-up component and smooth glide formula is easy to use for on-the-go application" - ELF

This jumbo lipgloss stick is exactly that, a medium coverage lip gloss in a crayon format. It isn't a lipstick or something you can really build up. That said, they are good for applying on the go without a mirror. Very similar this way to Clinique's Chubby Sticks.

As you can see from the swatch and the close up this particular Gloss Stick in Tiki Torches has a shimmer to it, which does transfer to the lips. This doesn't look or feel gritty or chunky.

Photo above is one coat of it, you need to go over a couple of times to get an even coverage. There is a mild minty scent to this shade and Tiki Torches is a shimmer coral shade.

Moisturising and smooth to apply, these are easy to wear.

Stamping Plate: Bundle Monster 18

bundle-monster-BM18-stamping-plate-review-over-view

This stamping plate is from the first Bundle Monster set, it is backed with branded lining to stop it from being sharp. This is exceptionally handy, without it it is easy to slice open your fingers and palms.

This plate is one which is french tips rather than solo images or full nail images. I found all of these to stamp really well although I am yet to use them as I haven't mastered the french tip stamping technique yet! If and when I do then you can see some other designs I have used this plate in then feel free to click here.

Sunday Stamping: Saran Wrap / Cling Film Base

So I cheated and used a bit of carrier bag, however I think this really worked this time. Much more than the time I tried with actual cling film!

Review: Soap and Glory - No Clogs Allowed Face Mask

Soap and Glory No Clogs Allowed Detox Mask

"A super self-heating 5 minute deep pore detox face mask with a free skin smoothing sponge. This is a deep cleansing treatment, ideal for greasy and blackhead prone skin" - Soap and Glory

So I was wanting to try Scrub Your Nose In It, but this was on offer which swung it for me. As a preface, my skin is combination with some larger pores which are prone to blackheads.

Packaging - A squeezy tube with a screw type cap, for hygiene it also has a safety seal on the top which you peel off to use.

How to use? Shake the tube, odd thing to do but it does affect the product. Squeeze a blob out and massage over the face, very easy to do. Spreads easily and doesn't dry quickly so you have enough time to rub it over the skin. It does warm up on your skin which is nice when its freezing cold in your bathroom!

Texture - Slightly gritty but not what I would call a scrub like texture. Their are some particles which are blue slightly disconcerting washing it off with the little free sponge and having blue bits, especially if you aren't expecting it!

Scent: Mild

During
After
Results - Left my face feeling slightly chalky, my face was left clean, smooth and not tight. I can't bare that tight feeling you get washing your face where you have to moisture straight away. Not something which impressed me really, so not a repurchase. It wasn't a regretted purchase just nothing amazing.
