Empties: October 2019

Three nail products used up this month;

Sinful Colors - Hot Spot | This was okay, I didn't love it enough to go looking for the brand again as it seems to have disappeared from Boots [swatch].
OPI - A Gift of Gold | Nice while it lasted but again not one I would repurchase the full size of because I'm not the biggest fan of gold polishes [swatch].
Essie - Top Coat | While I didn't not like this, I much prefer the Glisten and Glow topcoat. The brush of this was nice and wide with a rounded cuticle which I liked.

Vosene Shampoo | Does what it is supposed to do, the scent is medicated and does linger on my hair if my conditioner isn't strongly scented.
Soap and Glory Bath Fizzer - Original Pink | The scent of this is their traditional pink scent, it did fizz up and smelt nice. However it was so glittery, it left me glittery even after showering and the bath was also left glittery.
Avon - Clearskin Pore Penetrating Mask | This used to work well with my combination oily skin type but I find it too drying now. Glad to have used it up but won't repurchase.
Dorco Eve Blade | These blades are good, each head has six blades on with a bendy section in between. Makes it less likely to nick myself. Would repurchase.

Yankee Candle - Witches Brew | My favourite scent, if Yankee would actually bring this out for Halloween again then I would repurchase!
Black Candles Online - Witching Hour | I didn't find this to have much of a scent throw so won't be repurchasing.
Yankee Candle - Kilaminjaro Stars Wax Tart | This had a very masculine aftershave scent to it. Not my favourite scent for a room fragrance.
The Glitter Box - Patchouli Wax | This had a good scent throw and scented like you would expect patchouli to smell. I would repurchase.

The Perfume People - Losing Cherry - Perfume Oil | A scent dupe for Tom Ford Lost Cherry, I liked the perfume oil so I purchased the eau de toilette.
The Perfume People - Lord Miserable - Perfume Oil | Scent dupe for Lush Lord of Misrule. I liked this so much I purchased the 100ml bottle of this.
Chap Stick - Flava Craze | I really like chap stick lip balms, they aren't too dry and waxy and do what they are supposed to do. I would repurchase this.

Nails: Remembrance Poppies

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
- Laurence Binyon

I have done remembrance nails previously in 2013, thought it was time to wear poppies again.

Stamping Plate: Born Pretty Store - Texture L001 [#46961]*

Born Pretty Texture L001 is a rectangle stamping plate with seven full nail images and seven larger images. It comes in a cardboard sleeve, hard plastic backed and with a protective blue film over. The theme for the plate is as the name suggests based around textures, so marble etc.

All of the images stamped across well. The plate does marble effect very well. It is a larger sized plate which means the full nail images are 1.5cm by 2cm.

Below are some nails I have done using the plate;

[Purple Matte]

Review: Born Pretty Store - Ur Sugar - Spider Gel - UR-01 White [#45820]*

Born Pretty Store is stocking this URSugar Spider Gel and this is in the colour black. It comes in a sealed 5ml pot. It also comes in 11 other colours and finishes.

It is similar to a gel polish in that it needs to be cured using a UV or LED lamp. The viscosity is thicker than a gel, and a lot more stringy which is the 'spider gel' effect.

To use this I dipped a dotting tool in to the gel picking up a string of gel and then placing it over my nail to create a spider gel nail art look. Then cured it in my lamp.

As it is called a spider gel I wanted to create a spider web nail look with it;

Also created another nail look using the spider gel;
