Nails: Polka Dots and Bows

Those with a keen eye may recognise this nail design from a review I did earlier in the year. However these are quite cute if not a little bit busy, and needed a proper post. I really need to wear bows on my nails more often I think.

Base Polishes: Sally Hansen - Delphinium and First Kiss, Revlon - Cloud, ELF - Mint Cream, W7 - Sheer Lemon.
Nail Tattoos: Fake Tattoos

Stamping Plate: Bundle Monster 08

This stamping plate is from the first Bundle Monster set, it is backed with branded lining to stop it from being sharp.

All of the designs stamp well, even the delicate chandler design. Out of the seven designs I think I like the anchor the best, which do you like?

You can see some of the nail designs I have done using this plate here if you like.

Review: ELF Mineral Lipstick - Natural Nymph

"Now you can hydrate your lips and get a lasting soft colour naturally! This nourishing blend of exotic oils, natural waxes, vitamins and plant extracts create the perfect moisturising formula. The sleek lipstick has superior colour payoff, glides easily onto lips, and is long wearing. Lips stay perfectly hydrated and soft throughout the day for no fuss, lip loving happiness. All our mineral makeup is 100% mineral based with no parabens, no preservatives and no chemical dyes" - ELF UK

Generally as a rule I like ELF Mineral Lipsticks, however this one really does highlight any dry patches and any ridges within my lips. I got this one because my lips are naturally quite pigmented and sometimes if you are playing up a smoky eye you don't want to have vibrant lips. Realistically I am not sure I will get much wear from this. Perhaps better on someone who isn't as pale as myself.

£5 - 3.8g

Tutorial: Quilted Nails

If you wanted to see some quilted nails with fur, then you can here. Now on to this post, this is a how to do quilted nails, I have done these using black polish because I have a bit of a thing for all things dark, however you can use any colour you like. It will work with the same method. You can skip the mattifying step, it will still work if you do it will just be more subtle.

Paint your nails, I went with W7's Black

Then I matted my nails, you can skip this step if you like.

Use stripping tape in a criss cross pattern, then paint over it and then pull off the striping tape

And that is you done. Make sure to work one nail at a time and as soon as you have painted the nail to pull off the striping tape so that the polish doesn't dry on top of the tape. I like the contract between the matte and shiny but as I said it will still be textured if you skip the mattifying step.

It's Enigmatic Rambles' 3rd Birthday!

(a giveaway will be held to celebrate this birthday, shortly)

Sunday Stamping: Shoes Inspired

The challenge today was to do nails which were inspired by your favourite shoes. These have to be my favourite shoes, they were the ones I wore when I got married. I have lots of shoes I have gotten throughout the years but I always end up wearing the same couple of pairs.

Base Polish: W7 - Black
Stamping Polish: Stargazer - Silver Chrome
Stamping Plates: QA5, QA8

Rimmel Foundations - Swatches

I was going through my foundations and noticed I have a selection of Rimmel ones. All are supposed to be Ivory / True Ivory but as you can see there is a lot of differences between them all.

I thought I would share the swatches for anyone wondering which foundation to go for from Rimmel.
