Topic Tuesday: What Polishes Do You Keep a Backup Of?

I have backups of Barry M Black Forest as it is a good black cream polish, it is much better formula than Barry M Black. I use a lot of black in nail art as well as wearing as is. Other than that one I have a couple of bottles of Revlon Facets of Fuchsia.

Topic Tuesday: Brand Firsts

Before I began blogging 10 years ago and dipped a fingertip in the world of colour I rotated between Barry M Black, Barry M Navy, Barry M Vivid Purple and La Femme Black. I rotated those polishes for 10 plus years before expanding my collection.

Nails: Mr Hankey

Many years ago I did South Park nails, here is a updated version, which is a lot better than my 2010 attempt!

"Mr Hankey, The Christmas Poo
Small and Brown, he comes from you
Sit on the toilet, here he comes
Squeeze and tween your festive buns"

Swatch: Barry M - Black

I prefer the Barry M gelly black, Black Forest over this black by Barry M. That one is opaque and the brush is better.

Colour: Black
Finish: Cream
Opacity: Two / Three Coats
Brush Type: Standard
How Much? 10ml

Swatch: Barry M - Black Forest

I have tried a lot of black nail polishes throughout the years and this one is one I would really, really recommend. It is almost opaque in one coat and the new gelly brush makes it so easy to create a smooth cuticle line and no clean up required.

Nail Polish: Battle of Blacks, Greys and Pinks

If you would like to see which nail polishes were battling it for the blacks, greys and pinks last year then click the colours to be taken to a new page. This year the battles will only be using the new polishes I have gotten since last year. Which is why Black, Grey and Pink have been joined as I didn't seem to have as many of these this year.

Seventeen - Rock Hard Nail Effects - Black | Claire's - Black Leather Effect | Nails Inc - New York Noir

Winner is:
Nails Inc and Kate Spade New York Noir, who could resist such a classic cream black polish

Now a couple of grey polishes
La Femme - Grey Cream | Ciate - Vintage

Winner is:
Ciate Vintage, I like this one as it is darker in tone to the La Femme.

And finally the new pinks:
La Femme - Mocha Pink | La Femme - Pink Cream | Models Own - Pink Blush | La Femme - Figg

Winner is:
La Femme Figg, reason is this is a much more dusky pink with a hint of lilac than the others. Less in your face.
