The top three of these polishes for me would be: Despite there being a lot of Barry M the top three surprisingly don't appear in there. I do think that Barry M does deserve an honourable mention as during 2013 the brand brought out hit after hit (excluding the sequin texture trio). Clearly though 2013 was the year of the holographic's runner up polishes are...

3) Layla - Flash Black - This polish is so stunning, it has a strong holo running through it and it dances even when not in direct sunlight.

2) Essie - Leading Lady - This polish is a great festive red, has a subtle glitter running through it which makes it festive without it being over the top.

And finally the top polish of 2013 is...

1) A England's Sleeping Palace from the Burne-Jones Dream collection. I like this one because it has a purple tone to it and of course it is a lovely holographic finish. The formula is perfect and the brush works fantastically. An A England polish came in at number two last year which goes to show how stunning, and works of art these polishes are.

Nail Polish: Battle of Glitters

If you would like to see which nail polishes were battling it for the Glitters last year then click here. This year the battles will only be using the new polishes I have bought since last year, which seem to be quite a lot when it comes down to glitters!

LÓreal - Confetti Top Coat | Barry M - Ruby Glitter | Leighton Denny - Razzmatazz | La Femme - Purple Glitter | Golden Rose - Jolly Jewels 115 | Sinful Colors - All About You | Essie - Cozy | Leighton Denny - I AM  DIVA | Models Own - Juicy Jules | Ciate - Magic Carpet | Essie - Leading Lady | Ciate - Enchanted Rose | La Femme - Jupiter 84 | Ciate - Glass Slipper | W7 - Boogie Nights

The top three from all of these glitters for me were Essie's Leading Lady, Nails Inc Bow Street and W7's Boogie Nights.

And the winner is:
Essie Leading Lady! I think this is because it is December and it is perfect for this time of year, at other times during the year I think it would change between the other two.

Nail Polish: Battle of Purples and Holographics

If you would like to see which nail polishes were battling it for the Purples last year then click here, last year there was no holographic polish battle. This year the battles will only be using the new polishes I have acquired since last year.

Barry M - Prickly Pear | Sinful Colors - Verbena | Ylin - Mood Changing Polish #7 | Ciate - Fade to Greige | Ciate - Cabaret | 17 - Royal Indigo | Yes Love - K033 | MUA - Deepest Purple | Barry M - Countess

And the winner is:
Very hard to choose the winner for this one. Coming second place would be Yes Love K033. I really like the colour of this one and the rubberized finish is something a little bit different. I chose Barry M's Countess as the winner because it is nice without topcoat but with topcoat is when it really comes in to its own, completely stunning.

Moving on to the Holographic polishes
Kleancolor - Holo Blue | Kleancolor - Holo Chrome | Kleancolor - Kiss Goodbye | Kleancolor - Chunky Holo Purple | Kleancolor - Midnight Seduction | GOSH - Holographic | Hits - Hefesto | Hits - Dionsio | Hits - Apolo | Jade - Violeta | Jade - Magia Negra | Layla - Flash Black

And the winner is:
As much as I wanted Jade Violeta to win, Layla Flash Black wins because even when this is nowhere near direct sunlight it looks really stunning on the nails which is quite amazing.

Nail Polish: Battle of Reds and Greens

If you would like to see which nail polishes were battling it for the red last year then click here, and Greens here. This year the battles will only be using the new polishes I have got since last year.

Barry M - Passion Fruit | Essie - Snap Happy | Ciate - Mistress | Nails Inc - Luminous Metallic Red | Ciate - Dangerous Affair | Leighton Denny - Be My Berry | La Femme - Aubergine | Jacava - Damson

And the winner is:
Leighton Denny - Be My Berry, I think this is the perfect Christmas red. Had I have been doing this during the summer I think there may very well have been a different winner.

Moving on to the Greens
Ciate - Mojito | Barry M - Key Lime | Barry M - Greenberry | La Femme - Mint Cream | Collection 2000 - Electirc Dreams | Yes Love - K033 | ELF - Green Machine | OPI - Die Another Day

And the winner is:
Barry M Greenberry, purely because it is a very unique colour in my polish collection and the formula is perfect.

This year the battles will only be using the new polishes I have gotten since last year. Which is why Duochromes, Neons and Magnetics have been joined as I didn't seem to have as many of these this year.

Firstly looking at duochrome polishes:
Yes Love - 403 | Jade - Velvet | Angelica - Twilight | Rimmel - Purple Reign | ELF - Sea Escape

And the winner is:
ELF - Sea Escape, a gorgeous blackened green

And then the neons:
Ciate - Yellow Taxi | La Femme - Ultra Gold | ELF - Party Peach | Barry M - Mango | Sinful Colors - Courtney Orange

And finally the magnetic polishes:
Essence - Iron Goddess | Essence - Steel Me | Essence - Magic Wand | Essence - Hex Hex | MUA - Leicester Square | 17 - Blue | 17 - Lilac | Barry M -Burgundy | Barry M - Dark Grey

The winner is:
As much as I really like the circular magnet on the MUA polish I have to chose Barry M Dark Grey as I prefer the colour of the polish on this one.

Nail Polish: Battle of Blues

If you would like to see which nail polishes were battling it for the blues last year then click here. This year the battles will only be using the new polishes I have got since last year.

Top Three
Maybelline - Cool Blue | Yes Love - L011 | Barry M - Blue Grape

Winner:
Barry M Blue Grape, I really like this one it has a nice depth to it and isn't too dark to be mistaken for black
