Nail Polish Battle 2015: Reds

Another day, another battle. Looking at reds;

Barry M - Sparkling Ruby // Barry M - Poppy (Silk) // Leighton Denny - Chestnut Charm // Nails Inc - Grosvenor Crescent

Barry M Poppy was eliminated because it leans slightly to the pink side. Grosvenor Crescent is really dark and lovely but the following two were just that bit special.

Leighton Denny Chestnut Charm is a beautiful autumnal colour which is a little bit different.

However the winner has to be Barry M Sparkling Ruby. It is one of the first two none cream finish Gelly polishes, with a lovely flat and wide brush. It has no glitter which means it is easy to remove. Very appropriate for this time of year which could be why it beat Chestnut Charm.

Nail Polish Battle 2015: Blues

Today we are looking at the blue nail polishes.

Nails Inc - Primrose Hill // Kiko - 521 // Barry M - Damson // Leighton Denny - Miss Behavin' // OPI- Give Me Space

I eliminated Primrose Hill because the colour is a bit dull, great for a base but not great on its own. The top three are;

In the top three is the Kiko because it is so vibrant and unique.

Barry M Damson is such a lovely mid-blue colour which is great for summer.

 The winner of the blue polishes is OPI Give Me Space, because it is a bit special and something I would wear as is which is rare for me. Deep and a bit sparkly.

Nail Polish Battle 2015: Black, Silver + Duochrome

So it is that time of year again where I go through all of the new nail polishes I have acquired over the past year and I choose which polish is the best. I have been doing these annual blog posts since 2012. During the past two months I have accumulated 41 polishes.

Today we are starting with black, silver an duochrome polishes.

OPI - My Silk Tie // Barry M - Super Sonic // Sally Hansen - Black Platinum

I didn't get too many of these polishes this past year. Originally I would have thought the Sally Hansen would have been my favourite, however the formula is really thin and you need 3 or 4 coats.

The Barry M polish has a new flat and wide brush which is great however I found this chipped really easily on me.

So that brings us to the winner, My Silk Tie. More through default, but I do like this polish.
