Empties: June 2024

Been very busy this past month, so not much used up. I was surprised at how many polishes I managed to wear throughout June.

Burt's Bees Vanilla Bean Lip Balm | This was a good lip balm, the formula wasn't too dry or too slick, it felt like it did something. I wouldn't repurchase as it is made with bee's wax.

L'Occitaine Verveine | This is a lightweight hand gel, sinks in quickly and is nice on the go. I didn't notice any scent other than the verbena. I would repurchase this if I didn't have plenty already.

Prism Polish Heists Are Dumb | This has dried up which I could fix but the glow in the dark pigment has died so I won't be reviving it [swatch].

CurlSmith Weightless Air Dry Cream | A leave in conditioner, it is lightweight as the name suggests not heavy on my fine hair. Nice to use whether I am wearing my hair straight or natural. I have other leave in conditioners so won't repurchase now otherwise I would.

Wild Thunderstorm Deodorant | Wild deodorant works well on me, this scent is more of a typical masculine smell. I would repurchase but I have enough to work my way through at the moment.

   

Empties: May 2024

Soap and Glory Jingle Blooms Body Butter | I didn't really like the floral scent of this but the formula is thick but sinks in, doesn't leave you sticky. I would repurchase a body butter from Soap and Glory just not this scent.

Rimmel Lovey Dovey | The colour was a lilac in a cream finish, I have others the same shade so wouldn't repurchase [swatch].

L'Occitane Amande Hand Lotion | A lightly moisturising hand cream with an almond scent, its good for daytime as sinks in quickly. I would repurchase this if I didn't have two 150ml tubes already.

L'Occitane Herbae Hand Lotion | This sinks in quickly and doesn't leave a greasy trail. The scent does linger, it isn't my favourite scent but I really like the formula. I may repurchase if I didn't have many others to get through.

Barry M Feature Length Mascara | This has short silicone bristles which are good for grabbing the lashes. I would repurchase this one.

   

Empties: April 2024

I was going through my polishes and came across two which are beyond saving, and three hand creams used up as my hands were feeling particularly worse for wear.

A England Heathcliff | I liked the idea of this better than the colour itself, if it was available I wouldn't repurchase [swatch].

Jade Violeta | This was one of my very first holo polishes from 2014, probably only 1/5 of the bottle left. I'd not repurchase as since getting it I have many similar shades and finishes [swatch].

Loccitane Hand Gel | This is a lightweight formula, good daytime hand product for me. I don't know what the scent is, but something minty and eucalyptus which I enjoyed. I would repurchase this. 

Loccitane Rose Hand Cream | This is a thick heavy duty hand cream, I like the formula it helps repair hands. I don't like the scent of this so wouldn't repurchase in the rose.

Lipsmacker Coca Cola Vanilla Lipbalm | These are the lip balm texture I prefer, isn't too hard to tear my lips nor too soft it leaves my lips very slippy. I would repurchase if I didn't have others to get through.

Carmex Peach and Mango Burst Lip Balm | I liked the formula of this it was moisturising, however during the colder months it was hard to squeeze out product and after using up 2/3 of it I couldn't get anymore out and so had to cut it open so I wouldn't repurchase.

L'Occiatane Shampoo | This sample size only had enough in for one wash which isn't enough for me to have an opinion on.

Lush Super Milk Leave in Conditioner | Its a lightweight leave in conditioner which smells of lemon candyfloss. My hair is fine and this works when I am wearing it straight or wavy, if you have dry curly or coily hair I imagine you would need to use more or layer on a curl cream on top. I would repurchase.

Lush Lord of Misrule Shower Gel | The scent is identical to the bath bomb, musky and patchouli and a little goes a long way. It is expensive, but I would repurchase it.

L'Occitane Body Milk Amande | The almond scent from L'Occitane is one I really enjoy, this was a sample of the body milk which was a light moisturiser which sank into my skin quickly. It costs over £45 for 200ml so I wouldn't purchase this full size.

Lush Lord of Misrule Bath Bomb | Been a while since I used this, patchouli, earthy, spicy. Would keep repurchasing as long as they come out for Halloween, I recently stocked up on more [2021 Review].

Lush The Comforter Bubble Bar | My go to bubble bar, it is sweet and fruity, blackcurrant. Makes lots of bubbles and it can be broken up to use over multiple baths, always will repurchase this.

L'Occitane Overnight Reset Oil in Serum | Another sample used up, it left my skin feeling so dry and tight after using it that I had to use another moisturiser afterwards so I wouldn't repurchase.

   

Empties: March 2024

Yankee Candle Witches Brew | The scent is woody, patchouli and clove. This is my favourite Yankee Candle scent and if they release it for Halloween I'd purchase again.

Yankee Candle Singing Carols Votive | This smells of pine but I don't find these have much of a scent throw. I'd not repurchase.

Nag Champa Incense | This one is particularly potent, not one you can ignore, but actually has a scent rather than just burning wood. Won't need to repurchase for a while as I have a box of 13 left to go.

   

Empties: February 2024

Nails Inc Nail Kale Nail Bright | I don't know if this did anything for strengthening or enhancing my nails. It was a shimmer wash over the nails but not something I would repurchase.

Glisten and Glow Ridge Filling Base Coat | I think this did make my polish look smoother on my nails and would purchase a similar product if not this one.

L'Occitane Sparkling Leaves Hand Cream | I got this free with purchase, it was a very lightly moisturising hand cream with a slightly citrus scent. Not one I would purchase.

L'Occitane Amande Hand Cream | Again this was free with purchase, this is a lightly moisturising hand cream with an almond scent. I would repurchase this if I didn't have two 150ml tubes already. Its a good one for daytime as sinks in quickly.

Superdrug Cherry Almond Conditioner | A very light conditioner, smells like Alpro Cherry yoghurt, and would repurchase.

CurlSmith Double Cream Deep Quencher Conditioner | A very heavy, intense conditioner which I liked for after clarifying. The scent is very strong and does linger in your hair. If this came in a different type of bottle and wasn't so expensive I might consider purchasing the full one.

Lush Veganese Conditioner | I have used this before but it came in a bottle rather than a tub. I don't like tubs for something like this as it gets water in from the shower. The scent was lemon and it is a light conditioner. I'd not repurchase this.

Above and Beyond Refillable Lip Balm Vanilla | I like the idea of this as I do get though lip balm. It was a nice formula and I will repurchase refills once I've used up what I have.

Jelly Belly Very Cherry Lip Balm | Scent of this was cherry, the formula was good too and I used it up. Would repurchase.

Heart's Love Japanese Doll Lip Balm | As cute as these lip balms are the formula is bad, it tastes like Vaseline and the formula feels like it too. Not a repurchase.

Impulse Tropical Beach and Espresso Spray | This was okay had a good spray to it, but not my favourite scent or one I would repurchase.

Luxenoa Santala Candle | For a small candle this had a good scent throw to it, very much a typical masculine aftershave scent to it.

   

Monthly Empties: January 2024

Not much used up during January;

Primark Glow in the Dark | This polish no longer transitions [swatch].

L'Occitane Rose Hand Cream | While I do like the 20% shea hand cream formula the scent isn't something I like. Happy to use it up but wouldn't purchase the scent.

Jelly Belly Buttered Popcorn | Scent of this was very much butter popcorn, the formula was good too and I used it up. Would repurchase.

Superdrug Vitamin E Lip Balm | I didn't use this up, the scent is too strong to be so close to my nose and it really didn't taste good either. Wouldn't repurchase.

Mad Beauty Lip Balm Vanilla | The formula on this was too waxy and dragged too hard over my lips. I didn't use this up and wouldn't repurchase.

Lush Snow Bear Soap | A creamy, moisturising soap. Supposed to smell of marzipan but I didn't quite agree with that. It was nice enough but don't think I'd repurchase.

Lush Snow Fairy Melt | It said you could use this as a wax melt which I did but it didn't have any scent throw at all. Disappointing, and wouldn't repurchase.

A Certain Becca Lacquer Cranberry Cocktail Melt | This wax did have a good scent throw to it unlike the Lush wax.
