Review: BOHEM - Superstar - Reusable Nail Art*
The Superstar represents fame and flashing lights! The superstar is special and full of hope. Stand out and show off with BOHEM's Superstar!
What is BOHEM Reusable Nail Art?
These are silver nail jewellery, to be used as an accent nail.
What do they claim?
- Unlimited Use
- Kind to your nails
- Solid 925 Sterling Silver
- Anti-tarnish protection
- Hallmarked officially by Birmingham Assay Office, UK
- Designed made and hand-finished by qualified artisans in the Jewellery Quarter
This particular design is called 'Superstar' which are silver with a star design on.
The nail accessories come with 12 adhesive tabs, along with a silver polishing cloth.
Also included is a instruction leaflet and a nail file.
The adhesive tabs, which you can repurchase separately.
Silver polishing cloth which again you can repurchase separately.
These nail accessories come in various designs as well as different lengths, shapes and widths so depending on your own nails you can find something which will fit your nail bed. The sizing chart can be found here.
On to the ones I was sent to review, I chose 20mm length, width medium (12mm) and rounded tips. BOHEM also do free exchanges and returns if you happen to order the wrong size.
The silver polish is OPI's My Silk Tie;
For these nails I used Colors By Llarowe Black Gold, Texas Tea and some round 4mm silver studs;
Although these are made from solid sterling silver they aren't heavy and while you can feel you have something on your nails. The sticky tabs are strong enough to hold them on to the nail securely. They remove by simply pulling them off, don't use nail polish remover as this will tarnish the sterling silver.
I think these are great for special occasions or nights out. Something a bit special and a bit different. There are so many different designs on the BOHEM site that there is something for everybody and of course there are all different sizes for different nail lengths, shapes and widths.

Stamping Plate: Messy Mansion M40
Messy Mansion is an Australian brand created by Julia. As soon as I saw freehand knitted nails I wanted to try them, however they would involve quite a lot of effort. Something which I probably couldn't do with my non-dominant hand. Long story short I thought stamping would be easier, then I saw this plate and had to get it.
The stamping plate is larger than your typical round stamping plates, measuring in at 7cm whereas Bundle Monster plates are 5.5cm across. They are the same size as the Nail Craze stamping plates. The plate isn't backed with paper but the metal has been finished so it shouldn't cut you.
Image plate 40 has three full nail images and 12 single images on it. The plate is well engraved and all of the images stamp really crisp and clear.
Here are some nails I have done using this plate, to see more click here.

Swatch: OPI - Do You Have This Color In Stock-Holm?
This colour was very hard to get a accurate photo of, the flash made it much brighter and more neon. Without the flash though it showed up a bit darker than it was, it is darker than it looks in the bottle.
[without flash]
Opacity: Three Coats
Collection: Nordic
Brush Type: Pro Wide
How Much? 15ml

Nails: Studded Black Texas Tea
Colors By Llarowe, Black Gold Texas Tea is the darkest strong holo polish I have come across. It's hard to get an actual black holo because of the holographic pigment seems to change the colour to a lighter, grey tone.
The flash made the holo reflect like crazy for the photos making it difficult to see the studs;
So I took a photo without the flash:
