Review: 3mm Sparkling Water Opalescent Studs Nail Accessories

These are listed on the Born Pretty Store as "Sparkling Water Drop Flat Back Nail Studs Charming 3D Nail Art Decoration". They come in 3mm and 4mm, these are the 3mm version.

You get a small resealable bag of 10 3mm studs, The description of these are sparkling water drop studs, I would describe them as being opalescent on the base with a clear domed plastic shape over the top.

These are very pretty to the eye and change depending on the angle you are holding them on, in the way a duo-chrome polish is. Because of this it is very difficult to accurately photograph them!

They are described as being 3D, while they aren't flat they don't stick out too much. To use them I pressed them on to tacky polish, you could use nail glue for a stronger hold. You can use them in a simple nail look of go for something more elaborate such as adding to stamping which I show below.

First I used them as a cuticle accent;

Jacava - Vanilla Slice

I then thought it would be interesting to use them as an accent to some stamping;

Base Polishes: Nails Inc - New York Noir, Calvin Klein - Silver Streak
Stamping Polishes: Barry M - Silver Foil Effect, MoYou Nails - Special Nail Polish - Black
Stamping Plate: Bundle Monster 314

And finally I used them very simply, still effective though;

SIMPLES: Skittle with Dots

The Crumpet has a challenge going, to help teach nail art from the simple to the master.

So week 13 is here and we have to come up with a skittle base with dots over the top of it. Here is my example;

Stamping Plate: Bundle Monster 314 (BM314)

Review-Bundle-Monster-314-BM314

This stamping plate is from the third Bundle Monster set, from 2012. It is backed with branded lining to stop it from being sharp. This is useful, without it it is easy to slice open your fingers and palms which I have been known to do accidentally in the past with other stamping plates.

On this stamping plate there are three full nail images, and three single images. All of these stamped well, the only one I struggled with was the floral image. Below are some nails I did using this plate:
