Nail Polish Battle 2015: Top 3

So I gathered all of the winning nail polishes from the previous rounds;

OPI - My Silk Tie // China Glaze - Flip Flop Fantasy // Leighton Denny - Heat Wave // Barry M - Sparkling Ruby // Barry M - Forest // Dark Metal Lacquer - Turn Loose The Mermaid // Kiko - 255 // OPI - Give Me Space

Looking a the polishes I was able to eliminate half of them bases on which I had worn more over 2015. During the summer I had a orange moment where I ended up getting a couple of oranges. The other three were more predictable for me.

However I had to eliminate two;

In the top two were Barry M Sparkling Ruby which came out just in time for the festive season, and a first for the gelly collection in that it wasn't a straight up cream finish.

But the winner for this year was Kiko 255, a beautiful dark purple polish packed with multi coloured holographic micro glitter. Very almost galaxy nails in a bottle. A beautiful polish which was a bargain at less than £4 a bottle.

Nail Polish Battle 2015: Neons + Nudes

Leighton Denny - Sink in to Mink // Nails Inc - Star Street // China Glaze - Flip Flop Fantasy // Leighton Denny - Hot Under The Collar // Glamour - 791

The first two were easy to eliminate, the Glamour polish isn't very pigmented and needs 3-4 coats to build up opacity. Sink in to Mink is a great nail art base but on its own isn't that special.

Hot Under The Collar is quite a vibrant orange with a glass fleck finish. More a delicate orange compared to the straight up neon Flip Flop Fantasy.

In the top two are Nails Inc and China Glaze.

Star Street is a pale peach colour, a soft delicate kind of shade which would get a lot of wear in spring. The brush on these polishes are great as well, flat and wide with a curved end so it easily fits against the cuticle.

All that said the winner for me is Flip Flop Fantasy, a bright neon orange. Very hard to get a colour accurate photo of! There are a couple of incarnations of this polish, not sure which this one I have is, however it isn't the first one. One I think would be great for the summer.
