Time Period Challenge: Industrial Revolution

So for the industrial revolution I have attempted to do a spinning jenny of sorts with the cogs and the wool on the forefinger. As for the rest, I've tried to do a factory with all of its smoke and smog coming from the chimneys.

Another week, another time period challenge! This time it is the Victorian Era, and after the disaster of a face I did on my nails I thought I would stick to something easier! I based my nail designs around a Victorian Era fabric, which you can find here.

Time Period Challenge: Renaissance

Seeing as I am not the best at doing human faces I thought this week I could portray the Renaissance Era without faces. Any guesses as to who the two people are supposed to be?

Time Period Challenge: Imperial China

This week's time challenge was Imperial China, I based my nail art around the Qing Dynasty Flag from 1889. Which was the last imperial dynasty of China. I was trying out a new nail art brush but it didn't seem to have a fine enough tip for what I wanted to do here.

A medieval challenge and my first thought was of castles and fighting on horse back, and so here is my castle nails.

Time Period Challenge: Ancient Rome

The nails I have attempted to do really don't do ancient Rome justice. I kept failing every attempt at this and this was the fourth attempt at something. I did want to do the roman wall but I just couldn't get it right. Anyhow this is supposed to be Caesars laurel wreath, some grapes and the roman shield.

I attempted to do Parthenon, which sort of envisions the architecture of the Ancient Greek times. Along with the Greek God Zeus' fork.

Time Period Challenge: Ancient Mayan

Other than the Mayan calendar running out late last year to be honest I hadn't heard of the Mayan times. However after a spot of research I came up with this, based on the calendar. Clearly not as intricate as the original but enough for a nod in that direction.

Time Period Challenge: Ancient Egypt

Today I have some ancient Egypt inspired nails, I really struggled with getting a sandy base colour as I don't have one in my collection. I ended up starting with a beige base and sponging on yellow and gold. These are just Egyptian symbols and don't represent or mean anything generally.

Time Period Challenge: Stone Age

These nails are my interpretation of the Stone Age era.
Stick man, shooting arrows and some stick animals, all mattifyed because they are supposed to be those cave drawings, engraved in stone.

Time Period Challenge: Jurassic Era

Another new challenge, this one follows on from the ABC challenge which I recently completed. If you want to join in then you can do here. This time it is based around various time periods. It's Jurassic Era this time which makes me think of Jurassic Park.
