Nails: Top 5 Spring Polishes 2023

Today is the Spring equinox, and so I'm sharing my Spring 2023 nail polish picks.

I have done this type of post before which you can see 2022 here2021 here2020 here2019 here2018 here2017 here2015 here and 2014 here.

You don't need these specific polishes, but these are ones that I want to reach for during Spring. I seem to have gone for a mix of muted bright polishes this year.

Lemon Sorbet is a cream, light yellow polish, nice for spring nails.

Minty Fresh, has a white crelly base with blue metallic flakes. I've not worn this enough, it is light enough to be typically spring like but has the metallic flakes in to keep it from being plain.

Peony is new to my collection for 2023, it is a cream finish purple toned pink. Slightly darker than shown in the swatch.

Magpie a green crelly base with black matte glitter. The specific colour of this is reminiscent of actual magpie eggs.

Serendipity is described as a iridescent blue shimmer, its light enough not to be a bold blue more typical of summer. There is some purple in there too which elevates the polish from a plain shimmer.

Nails: Top 5 Spring Polishes 2022

On Sunday it will be the Spring equinox, and so I'm sharing my Spring 2022 nail polish picks.

I have done this type of post before which you can see 2021 here2020 here2019 here2018 here2017 here2015 here and 2014 here.

You don't need these specific polishes, but these are ones that I want to reach for during Spring. I seem to have gone for all pastel polishes this year again, with a lot of purples.

Prickly Pear is a brighter pastel lilac shade, it is cream in finish and opaque in two coats.

Periwinkle is a spring offering from Barry M from earlier this year. It is a very light blue cream polish opaque in two coats.

Swan is a lilac crelly with black speckled glitters, opaque in three coats from a 2014 collection. Something very Easter appropriate about these types of polishes.

Angel Grace is a vivid holographic polish, which looks good in direct sunlight, again opaque in two coats.

Holographic Sunburst is another choice from Barry M, it is also holographic but not as vivid as Angel Grace. Looks good in direct sunlight and is opaque in two coats.

Nails: Top 5 Spring Polishes 2021

On Saturday it will be the Spring equinox, and so I'm sharing my Spring 2021 nail polish picks.

I have done this type of post before which you can see 2020 here2019 here2018 here2017 here2015 here and 2014 here.

You don't need these specific polishes, but these are ones that I want to reach for during Spring. I seem to have gone for all pastel polishes this year.

Rose Hip is a very light pink cream shade which is pink enough not to just look white.

Huckleberry is a light blue shade, lighter than a Tiffany blue and again blue enough to to look white.

Girls Best Friend is a light lilac cream polish good in two coats.

Alpine Snow has to be my favourite white polish, opaque in two coats which is great for a white.

Sheer Lemon is my final choice, a light yellow polish which despite its name isn't sheer.

Nails: Top 5 Spring Polishes 2020

Barry M - Ocean Blue // Essie - Mint Candy Apple // Barry M - Papaya // W7 - Sheer Lemon // Barry M - Candy Floss

Today is the Spring equinox, not that it feels like a hopeful time. But Spring is here nonetheless and so I'm sharing my Spring 2020 nail polish picks. I have done this type of post before which you can see 2019 here2018 here2017 here2015 here and 2014 here.

You don't need these specific polishes, but these are ones that I want to reach for during Spring. I seem to have gone for all pastel polishes this year.

Ocean Blue is one of the newer polishes from Barry M, it is a light blue cream shade. This is very obviously a blue polish, so something to wear which is clearly not just an off white shade. Light enough though for Spring.

Essie Mint Candy Apple, this polish was THE nail polish a few years ago. This version leans green, a light mint green which as a pastel is very much a colour that screams Spring to me.

Barry M Papaya is the brightest of the polish I picked, not a vivid orange but a lighter, muted orange shade.

I don't have many yellow polishes but W7 Sheer Lemon is one of around five polishes I have. This one is a pastel polish but is clearly yellow rather than a off white shade.

Barry M Candy Floss, is a very light pink polish. This is something that screams Spring to me, very light though so perhaps something I wouldn't wear as is.
