Review: MoYou - Clear Stamp and Scraper*

Review-MoYou-Clear-Stamp-and-Scraper

This is a clear stamper for nail art stamping, which comes with clear stamping body, two jelly clear stamping heads and a plastic scraper.

Because it is clear this allows for exact placement of images, the body of the stamper is completely hollow and the stamping head being clear means placement isn't down to guess work.

Both of the heads are 22mm in diameter. I would describe them as being jelly in texture, with one softer than the other. A jelly stamper makes transferring an image across easy on my nails which have a strong C curve shape to them. It also means the stamping head wraps the image around your nail rather than having to roll it over the nail.

Overall I like this stamper, both the clear body and the clear stamping head makes image placement really easy. The scraper is made from hard plastic and won't damage your plates the way metal ones do.

Here is some nail art I have done using this stamper;

Review: Born Pretty Store - Dual Ended Stamper Sponge*

This is a double ended 'pencil' stamper and sponge from Born Pretty Store. It comes in this colour which is silver as well as a gold colour. It comes packaged in a clear protective tube.

One end is a squishy stamper, which is 1.1cm across, which makes it an ideal pencil stamper sized. The stamping head is very squishy.

The other end is a removable sponge, which is 1.7cm across. You could use this for gradients as well as using for packing on a glitter polish.

I used the stamping end of this pencil for more pinpointed image placing.

And these are the nails I did with it;

The other end, the sponge I used to create a blue gradient look.

Finished gradient is here;

I couldn't just leave the gradient as is so I put a glitter topper over it;

As the sponge is removable from the pencil it is reusable. To clean the head I dipped it in acetone and pressed it on to a tissue a couple of times to remove the polish. The head did stain a little from the blue polish but that doesn't affect future use.

Review: BeautyBigBang - Silicone Stamper and Scraper*

Review-BeautyBigBang-Silicone-Stamper-Scraper

This is a large clear squishy stamping head which is held within a clear holder, this one is from BeautyBigBang.

The exact size of this is; diameter 4cm, height 5.5cm.

The stamping head is made of a squishy silicone, I would describe this as being very squishy but not as much as a sticky marshmallow style stamper.

I could use this straight out of the package, it didn't need priming or prepping in anyway. It comes with a branded cap which is very useful for storage as it stops lint from sticking to it. I don't recommend using acetone to clean this stamper, I would suggest a sticky lint roller for this one.

What I liked about this stamper is how the head as well as the holder, is clear which means that it is very easy to line up the image on the nail.

The scraper is also clear, this one has a festive design on it. It is the size of a credit card although it is a lot more flexible than a typical card or scraper.

I have a 10% off code "ERA10" which you can use on the website if you would like.

Review: Born Pretty Store - Clear Jelly Stamper*

Review-Born-Pretty-Store-BornPrettyStore-BPS-Clear-Jelly-Nail-Art-Stamper-Clear-Silicone-Marshmallow

Since beginning stamping in 2010 there has been a lot of changes to stampers. The clear jelly stamper is the next new thing.

The idea of this stamper is that the stamping head is clear which helps with the placement of the stamped designs.

The Born Pretty Store clear jelly stamper has a hole at the top of the stamper so you can see down to the jelly head and therefore through the head and on to the nail itself.

Review-Born-Pretty-Store-BornPrettyStore-BPS-Clear-Jelly-Nail-Art-Stamper-Clear-Silicone-Marshmallow

Stamping head is jelly like in firmness, it isn't as squishy as a marshmallow type one but certainly not as hard as a traditional Konad one. My nails are curved and long which means I need a squishy head to transfer the image across, while this isn't as soft as a marshmallow head it is soft enough to use on my nails without damaging them.

I didn't need to prime the stamper before using it, prior to using all I did was use a sticky lint roll to remove the fluff which had stuck to the head.

Being able to see exactly where you are placing your stamped image is a great development in the world of stamping. I know I will get a lot more use from my stamping plates because of this stamper. Being able to get the placement right is so much better than stamping and hoping it is right.

Here is a couple of nail art designs I did using this stamping plate:

Barry M - Rose Hip

Barry M - Rose Hip / Avon - Cherry Dazzler Stardust

Essie - Shall We Chalet

Overall I really like this stamper and would recommend it, it really helps with stamping placement and means I get a lot more use from the stamping plates which I already own.

Review: Rectangle Stamper and Scraper - BornPrettyStore

Review-Born-Pretty-Store-BornPrettyStore-BPS-Rectangle-Stamper-and-Scraper

This set comes with a stamper and a scraper, the scraper has a metal edge for scraping the excess polish off the plate. I really don't like using the metal ones as they can scratch the surface of my plates. I much prefer using an old store card, this isn't a reflection on this scraper but personal preference.

The stamping head is quite firm and is rectangle in shape which is quite useful for stamping a longer design or if you have longer nails. It is 25mm long and 16mm wide.

The stamping head being a light green colour is more useful than I expected, you can stamp with a white colour and you can see it on the stamper head which really helps for alignment of the images. Usually I have problems stamping with white as the head on my usual XXL stamper is white.

Review-Born-Pretty-Store-BornPrettyStore-BPS-Rectangle-Stamper-and-Scraper

I have been really enjoying using this stamper for making full nail decals, it really lends itself to doing that because it is rectangle the same way my nails are. Some of the rounded stamping heads can make making full decals difficult. I will be doing a tutorial on how I do this soon, this stamper is also good for using as a traditional stamper too.

Review-Born-Pretty-Store-BornPrettyStore-BPS-Rectangle-Stamper-and-Scraper

Overall I really like the rectangular shape of this as well as the colour, it helps when stamping light colours as well as dark ones. They are from BornPrettyStore, you can see some of there new products here and what is most popular here.
