Nail Polish Swatch: ILNP - Eclipse (Holo)

I got the regular Eclipse last year and liked it so much (it won my 2020 nail polish of the year) I thought I would try the holographic version. The polish is quite beautiful, however I think I prefer the standard version more because the holographic particles almost take away something from the super shifty base.

Nail Polish Battle 2020: Winner!

Finally I am reaching the end of the 2020 battle!

The last round we ended up with the top three polishes, Jinx, Magma and Eclipse;

For me the first polish to eliminate was Jinx, it is a stunning polish, strong holographic silver.

Choosing between the top two polishes was very difficult! In the end coming in at number two was Magma, I like all of the different autumnal colours the flakies show. Only came second because it is a topper rather than a polish you can wear as is.

Which means that the winner of 2020 nail polish battle is ILNP Eclipse. I think it was the first of a kind with its multichrome deep red pigment. It is incredibly distracting when wearing it as it changes colours in different lights, and different finger positions. 2020 was a year that called for distraction and that is why Eclipse won.

Nail Polish Battle 2020: Top 3

Having completed all of the seven colour categories the following polishes won each round;

Tonic - Jinx // UberChic - If You've Got it Haunt it // Barry M - French Rose // Fancy Gloss - Magma // Danglefoot - The First Avenger // ILNP - Eclipse // UberChic - Say Boo and Scary On

Harder to chose my top three as they were all already up there in favourite tier. Jinx is a very holographic silver polish and the other two are both darker shifty duochromes.

Topic Tuesday: None Traditional December Polish

So far this December I have been wearing a lot of holographic purples. Purple doesn't seem to be a typical festive season polish.

Swatch: ILNP - Love Language

Love Language is part of the Fall into Winter collection, described as a deep cabernet red. I think it is a maroon, either way it has a very strong holographic flare to it.

I didn't get to photograph this in direct sunlight as it is winter now in Northern England.

Swatch: ILNP - Eclipse

Eclipse is described as an ultra chrome, jaw droppingly unique and intense. Those are some pretty big claims and it is always going to be subjective. However this is definitely a very shifty polish. I want to try this again over a black base which might make it pop even more. I did end up being distracted when doing boring tasks by this which is always good!

Topic Tuesday: Wish List

I have a page dedicated to my wish lish, I tend to put them on there so I don't forget which pretties I would like!

Currently at top of wish list is ILNP Eclipse which is described as a ultra chrome, looks black straight on changing to red and hinting at orange, gold and teal. I am unsure if the polish will live up the the hype but as I like dark polishes anyway I doubt I will be disappointed.
