Nails: Top 5 Spring Polishes 2013

Although there may be snow on the ground I still believe that spring is in the air, even if it is just on my nails. So I had a look through my polish stash and these are my top five spring time nail polishes, and I am quite liking this 'spring time skittle' manicure I have going on.

Stamping Plate: Bundle Monster 04

This stamping plate is from the first Bundle Monster set, it is backed with branded lining to stop it from being sharp. 

I found all of the images stamped well the poodle, I can get it work work 1 in 4 times. But other than I really like the filigree design and the fish bones.

Swatch: Barry M - Special Effects Purple

Barry M now have quite a colour selection of these crackle / shatter polishes. I've now swatched this along with the gold, white, pink, and of course black.

 

Colour: Purple

Opacity: While it does cover darker bases, it looks better against a lighter base

Finish: Matte

I attempted to do Parthenon, which sort of envisions the architecture of the Ancient Greek times. Along with the Greek God Zeus' fork.

These nails are inspired by Evanora (Rachel Weisz) nails from the movie Oz The Great and Powerful. I saw a tutorial by cute polish which is where I originally saw these and was inspired to try it. You can see a photo of the nails here.

Other than the Mayan calendar running out late last year to be honest I hadn't heard of the Mayan times. However after a spot of research I came up with this, based on the calendar. Clearly not as intricate as the original but enough for a nod in that direction.

Nails: Desperados

I've never tried tequila, nearest to it was this beer with tequila. I've also tried Amigos which is pretty much the same thing. Do you like the nails, thought I would stick to something simple today.
