Stamping Plate: Born Pretty Store - BP13

 

Born Pretty Store recently came out with their own range of stamping plates, I managed to get a couple of these in a special 1p sale. Having not tried any of there plates before I was interested in seeing if they actually stamped, and I was pleasantly surprised.

These plates come with a branded backing which means the edges not sharp.

I used Kleancolor Metallic Sapphire to stamp with and as you can see I didn't have problems with any of the images. There are four full nail images and four standard images.

I like the thatched image the most as well as the weather symbols,

Nail Polish Battle 2014: Pink + Purple

Not nearly enough purples have came my way this year!

Firstly I chose my two favourites from this section, both of these are gorgeous cream colours. Bikini is the lighter of the two, and has cute limited edition packaging.

The winner has to be the OPI, a beautiful colour which translates two or three shades lighter on the nail than in the bottle. I prefer darker purples.

Looking at the new red polishes of 2014

Barry M's Crush is a really nice colour but I find it chips so quickly on me. Also Vamp is a gorgeous colour but it leans very dark which while I do like, it isn't red enough to win the red category! So the winner is Red Velvet, a tone or two lighter than Vamp and very clearly a deep red.
