Nail Polish Battle 2018: Winner!

So the top three were A England's Briarwood, Danglefoot Polish Oh Plesiosaur and A England Moth A Fairy.

A England - Moth A Fairy was the first polish to be eliminated, because it was the lightest of the three and I do prefer darker polishes.

The next two were very difficult to chose between. I do love both of the polishes, but I chose Danglefoot Oh Plesiosaur for second place because of what I have been wearing the most recently.

Which of course means A England - Briarwood is the winner of my nail polish battle 2018. I chose this one because it really has been one I have been wearing a lot of recently. I even wore it as is which is rare for me. It's the perfect autumnal holographic polish.

Nail Polish Battle 2018: Top Three

After eight different polish battles today I have my top three from the top eight.

Barry M - Cream Soda // A England - Peaseblossom Fairy // A England - Anne Boleyn // A England - Briarwood // A England - Moth A Fairy // Danglefoot Polish - Oh Plesiosaur // Born Pretty Store - Taj Mahal // Nails Inc - Rainbow Hooves

Choosing the top three was difficult as I do like all of them. I do seem to have a holographic theme to my top three polishes this year!

I chose A England - Briarwood because it is a beautiful autumnal holographic polish which I have been wearing a lot recently.

Danglefoot Polish - Oh Plesiosaur is a charcoal polish which is super holographic in finish.

A England - Moth A Fairy is another holographic polish. This one is lighter though, very much a grey holographic polish.

Nail Polish Battle 2018: Red

Only six new red polishes this year;

OPI - Adam Said It's New Years, Eve // OPI - Sending You Holiday Hugs // OPI - Bogota Blackberry // A England - Anne Boleyn // Barry M - Opulent // Barry M - Extravagant

It wasn't too hard to chose my top three;

OPI - Adam Said It's New Years, Eve is a warm toned cream finish red, great for this time of year.

Barry M - Extravagant is a deep maroon shimmer red polish, something which is a bit of a twist on a traditional red.

And the winner is A England - Anne Boleyn! I really do like this polish, it is a darker red holographic finish polish. It is warmer than a stark red, dark but not so much you don't know it is a red.

Nail Polish Battle 2018: Blue

Avon - Sapphired Up // Nails Inc - The Mane Attraction // Danglefoot Polish - The First Avenger (H) // Danglefoot Polish - Paleon-Holo-Gist // Danglefoot Polish - Magneto // Danglefoot Polish - Oh Plesiosaur

My top three polishes were;

Avon - Sapphired Up is a straight up blue polish, great for nautical themed nail art.

Danglefoot Polish - Magneto, is a magnetic navy polish with holographic particles. When you use the magnet on it the polish changes to a lighter blue shade. This is great for easy galaxy themed nails.

And the winner is Danglefoot Polish - Oh Plesiosaur, which isn't a blue however it ended up in this pile because it is a Danglefoot. I like this one because it is a very holographic dark grey, charcoal polish.

Nail Polish Battle 2018: Purple

Ten new purple polishes this past year!

Born Pretty Store - Tender // Nails Inc - Shake That Tail // Barry M - Rhubarb // A England - The Most Happy // Avon - Purplelicious // Nails Inc - Hot To Trot // Nails Inc - Rainbow Hooves // OPI - Wanna Wrap? // OPI - Black Cherry Chutney // OPI - Holidazed Over You

First was the task of picking my top three;

Barry M - Rhubarb is a beautiful berry shade, a warm toned purple, the brush is flat, wide and rounded at cuticle which is my preferred brush type.

Avon - Purplelicious is a cool toned purple, exactly what you would want from a purple shade.

The winner however is Nails Inc - Rainbow Hooves, a dark purple glitter shade. Something which is really nice for the winter months.

Nail Polish Battle 2018: Green

Another day another polish battle, and this time it is the turn of my green polishes.

Barry M - Spearmint // Barry M - Matcha // A England - Puck a Fairy // A England - Catherine Howard // Born Pretty Store - Taj Mahal

Whittling down to my top three wasn't too hard for this round;

A England - Puck a Fairy is a stunning, vivid aqua colour. Really quite a statement polish and one which I would wear as is which is quite something!

A England - Catherine Howard is also a holographic green polish, this one is more muted than Puck a Fairy. But still a nice holographic green.

And the winner of this round is, Born Pretty Store - Taj Mahal. This is a super shifty duochrome polish, very strong colour change from purple to green. Can't stop looking at my nails when I wear this one.
