Nails: Top 5 Winter Polishes 2022

As today is Yule, the Winter Solstice signalling the start of the official winter season in the Northern Hemisphere I thought now would be a good time to share my top five winter polishes. Nails Inc Pudding Lane // A England St. George // Orly You're on Sapphire // Barry M Berry Cosmo // Orly Naughty

Pudding Lane - I seem to wear more white during winter than summer, either way its a good base for snow based nail art. This is an off white cream finish polish.

St. George - A good dark green holo polish.

You're on Sapphire - A dark blue shimmer, quite an icy shade.

Berry Cosmo a dark purple but clearly is a purple not a black, cream finish polish.

 Naughty - And finally a deep oxblood cream polish, winter is a time I reach for dark polishes more often.

Non-Traditional Christmas Polishes; Fancy Gloss Sapphire Shards is icy blue thermal with metallic blue flakies and Leighton Denny Pillow Talk which is a berry cream polish.

Nail Polish Battle 2022: Dark Purple

Next up I am looking over my dark purples, I've split the purples in to two as purple is the colour I appear to have bought this past year.

As with the light purples it was tricky to choose only three from the 13 in this category. Went with a magnetic, flakie and a tri-thermal.

In third place is Graveyard Shift, a multichrome magnetic which looks better in person than in photos.

In second is Crocus Sativus (Saffron) which is a jelly violet base with pink flakies and scattered holo.

Finally in third place is Bloody and Bruised, my first tri-thermal polish. It is a cream thermal changing from plum, blue to lilac. I hope the thermal doesn't die soon in it.
