Nails: Top 5 Summer Polishes 2023

Summer Solstice was last Wednesday and so I should get around to sharing my top summer polishes for 2022. These are the polishes from my collection I will be reaching for more often.

If you are interested you can see my summer picks for 2022 here2021 here2020 here2019 here2018 here2017 here2015 here and 2014 here.

Orly Plastic Jungle - A vivid green cream colour, opaque in two coats. Also very hard to photograph accurately.

Orly Connect the Dots - A warm almost neon peach cream, surprised at how much I liked this one. Bright and summery in two coats.

Nails Inc Baker Street - A classic within the nail polish realm, cream two coater mid blue. A similar blue would be Barry M Blue Guava.

Emily de Molly Rock Solid - The flakie of my picks, a blue base with blue purple iridescent flakes.

Tonic Polish Jinx - Finally is Jinx a very holographic silver polish, two coats and has a very clear rainbow flair reflection to it.

Nails: Top 5 Summer Polishes 2022

Summer Solstice will be tomorrow and so I should get around to sharing my top summer polishes for 2022. These are the polishes from my collection I will be reaching for more often.

If you are interested you can see my summer picks for 2021 here2020 here2019 here2018 here2017 here2015 here and 2014 here.

Crash the Party is a bright warm neon purple polish, quite bold and very difficult to photograph.

Glow Girl a flakie topper, I recently wore it over a lilac cream for a ethereal sort of design.

Funshine Sunshine is a bright warm yellow holographic polish, holo polishes look great in sunlight.

Peacock is very much a neon green, one that is opaque in two coats and no white base coat required. Neon polishes are something I reach for more often in summer.

Holographic Lights, is another holo polish so great in sunlight, and this one is a bright silver.

Nails: Top 5 Summer Polishes 2021

Summer Solstice will be next Monday and so I should get around to sharing my top summer polishes for 2021. These are the polishes from my collection I will be reaching for more often.

If you are interested you can see my summer picks for 2020 here2019 here2018 here2017 here2015 here and 2014 here.

Barry M - Pineapple Punch // Dystopia - Couldn't Miss This One This Year // Orly - Synthetic Symphony // Polish Me Silly - Glow Girl // AJ Nails - Peacock

Barry M Pineapple Punch this polish was released earlier this year and its very bright yellow, clearly not neon but bright enough.

Dystopia Couldn't Miss This One This Year is a photochromatic polish which means in sunlight it changes colour. Great for summer as there isn't much sunlight here the rest of the year.

Orly Synthetic Symphony is a bright purple polish, quite bold and very difficult to photograph.

Polish Me Silly Glow Girl a flakie topper, I like it over black as it shows off the blue, purple, pink colour shift.

AJ Nails Peacock is very much a neon green, one that is opaque in two coats and no white base coat required.

Nails: Top 5 Summer Polishes 2020

Summer Solstice was on Saturday and so I thought I should get around to sharing my top summer polishes for 2020. These are the polishes from my collection I will be reaching for, if you don't have these exact ones then something similar would do.

If you are interested you can see my summer picks for 2019 here2018 here2017 here2015 here and 2014 here.

Lemon Sorbet is from this spring's Rainbow Reload collection, it is a more pastel yellow so a bit easier to wear than a brighter yellow such as Barry M Banana Split.

Miss Sporty Orange Crush, I don't know if Miss Sporty still exist as a brand but a coral polish is always good for summer. This one is somewhere between a pastel and a bright.

Orly Glowstick is a very new polish to my collection. While this is a yellow it is a straight up highlighter neon polish, unlike Lemon Sorbet. Neon's again are something which I am more likely to wear in summer than winter.

Danglefoot Bones, is another new polish to me. It is a very bright 'burple' colour with a fuchsia shimmer running throughout it. While this is great for summer I also think it would work in winter.

Kiko Cerulean Blue 295, isn't one I have worn in a long time which is a shame because it is nice. Cerulean Blue is a very bright, sky blue polish.
