Swatch: Ylin Mood Changing Polish - #7

This is a 'mood changing' polish, that said it changes colour based on temperature. I have another one of these polishes, in the shade 15 which is purple and pink. This particular polish is blue when warm and purple when cold, as I have long nails it gives a French manicure look to the nail where the length is colder than the nail bed.

This is two coats of the polish with a topcoat, I think that three coats would be ultimate opacity. I ran my fingers under the warm water tap and got this colour on my nails;

And this is the colour which happened once I ran my fingers under the cold water tap;

Nails: Gradient Ice Cream and Cupcakes

This year I really seem to be doing a lot of gradient nails, really easy to do and looks good. Today I have stamped a full nail image over all of the nails for a simple but hopefully effective look.

Tri-Colour Nail Challenge: Red, Green and Yellow #2

Tri-Colour Nail Challenge: Red, Green and Yellow #1

This is the fifth month of the Tri-Colour Challenge Again I don't think I need to explain the details. If you need more of an explanation then click here. I tried my hand at something along the ikat lines but it isn't quite that:

Swatch: Barry M - White Sequin

This is one of a set of three 'Sequin' effect polishes brought out by Barry M for Summer 2013. I have seen a lot of negative reviews of this but you never know someone might like this sort of effect. I don't like to do negative reviews, especially for a brand I like so much, however it does go to show that even great brands can have dud products. That said I am quite sure Barry M will take on all of this criticism and come up with something amazing again next.

After reading all of the reviews and knowing that these were exceptionally textured and thick polishes I doubt I would have personally purchase these. I won these in a competition and thought I would just share with you the effect. It is up to you if this is something you may like to get.

Really these polishes could have been really amazing had they not have been textured, they could have been like a lot of a the indie glitter polishes but a lot easier to get a hold of. I personally found it very difficult to wear, it caught on everything and snagged my hair.

The photo shows two coats. Basically these are a very textured polishes, with the addition of chunky varying coloured glitters. As the glitters are so large they don't lie flat on the nail and along with the texture base polish it just leads to an extreme texture, thick effect.

Sleeping Palace is one of the five new polishes from A England's Burne-Jones Dream Collection, those not in the know Burne-Jones was a British Artist back in the late 1800's.
