Pick n' Mix 52 Week Challenge: Oceanic + 3 Neons

The ocean and neons aren't something which would traditionally go together. The way I tried to make the two go together was by using the neons as a very small micro French tip, over the wave stamping,

Pick n' Mix 52 Week Challenge: Neon + Indie

I was completely inspired by Madam Luck's nails I saw on her instagram, and while I don't think my version worked as well as hers, sometimes it is good to try something you wouldn't usually.

I used Polished by KPT - Color Therapy, which is an indie polish which happens to also be a neon. I prefer it over a black base, and it is also UV.

With it being summer I thought I would go for something neon. I used two Color Club's Twiggie and Wham Pow which are both from April 2012. I used the bag dab / cling film / saran wrap method, the colours were so neon my camera had problems picking them up.

Swatch: Claire's - Dizzy (Neon Glitter)

Colour: Neon
Finish: Topper Glitter, various hex sizes
Opacity: Two coats above over white
Brush Type: Standard
How Much? 10ml
Anything Else? There is a lot of base in this compared to glitter

Nail Polish: Battle of Duochromes, Neons and Magnetics

This year the battles will only be using the new polishes I have gotten since last year. Which is why Duochromes, Neons and Magnetics have been joined as I didn't seem to have as many of these this year.

Firstly looking at duochrome polishes:

ELF - Sea Escape, a gorgeous blackened green


And then the neons:

The winner is:
Barry M Mango, I really like this one the formula is perfect and pigmentation is great too.


And finally the magnetic polishes:

Essence - Iron Goddess | Essence - Steel Me | Essence - Magic Wand | Essence - Hex Hex | MUA - Leicester Square | 17 - Blue | 17 - Lilac | Barry M -Burgundy | Barry M - Dark Grey

The winner is:
As much as I really like the circular magnet on the MUA polish I have to chose Barry M Dark Grey as I prefer the colour of the polish on this one.
