Nail Polish Battle 2022: Pink and Red

Now that it's December, it's time for my annual nail polish battle. I find it interesting to look back over the year at the new polishes I have acquired and seeing which ones are my favourites.

Since last years nail polish battle I have 100 new nail polishes which is 28 more than last year. Today's battle is pink and red polishes, and it seems like the majority of these are from Barry M.

Pink is one of my least worn polishes so cutting the 18 down to three wasn't too difficult;

Romantic was the first to go from the three, its quite bright.

Beetroot and Chase were harder to choose from, ultimately it became against cream and shimmer finishes. Beetroot came second as in this round I preferred the cream finish.

So Chase is the winner, it is a cream berry shade;

Nails: #EDAW2015 - Sock It

23rd February - 1st March 2015 is Eating Disorder Awareness Week, a chance to raise awareness and understanding. Sock It is a fundraising event, wear funny socks and donate £1 to BEAT. As I am more about nails than actual socks, I thought I would wear socks on my nails for today's event.

Swatch: Barry M - Marshmallow Confetti

I recently won a Barry M Competition and received a couple of polishes from the Summer 2013 range, this means I can share some swatches of them with you.

The first one is Marshmallow, a Confetti Effect. This is a bar glitter polish in a clear base which makes it a topper polish. The bar glitter is all light pink which is slightly pearlescent. I found that the glitter bars went very easily on to the nails, no need for dabbing or any other fancy technique. The finish is slightly bumpy, which you expect from a glitter but this is easily remedied with a topcoat.

I think this looks nice over a complimentary colour such as the Berry Ice Cream, however I think it would look equally as stunning over a black as the colour of the bar glitter would pop. You could build this up to get a full coverage if you wanted to do so.
