Nail Polish Battle 2022: Green

Today's battle is green polishes, I don't have too many within this colour category.

Fizzy Apple is a deep bright green, a unique tone to my collection.

Choosing between the top two was difficult. I ended up picking Dragon Glass for second place, it is packed full of flakies.

In first place I've chosen Love and Tragedy, inspired by 90's movie Titanic. It is a very busy polish, magnetic, multichrome with flakies.

Nail Polish Battle 2022: Toppers and Glitters

Today's battle is glitters and topper polishes, I have 12 in this category;

Barry M Meringue // Rimmel Mermaid Fin // FUN Amethyst // DRK Splendor // Nails Inc Taken for Granite // Orly Bubbly Bombshell // Deborah Lippmann Razzle Dazzle // Fancy Gloss Candy Cane // Deborah Lippmann Across the Universe // Fancy Gloss Sapphire Shards // Deborah Lippmann Bad Romance // Bright and Polished Black Dots

This category is a catch all for anything slightly different, so it's difficult to pit a shimmer topper against a glitter or thermal. After some thinking the following are my top three;

Amethyst ended up in third place, it is a ghost flakie topper in a amethyst colour. It looks particularly nice over a black.

Candy Cane is a glitter thermal, going from pink to red with red and white glitters. It's very much a Christmas appropriate polish.

The winner of this round is Sapphire Shards, which is another thermal going from light blue to dark blue with small blue flakies within. Rather than specifically Christmas appropriate this can be worn during winter and throughout the year.

Nail Polish Battle 2022: White, Silver and Black

Today's battle is white, silver and black polishes, I don't have too many within this colour category.

Choosing my top three wasn't too difficult;

Third place is Agave a dark silver almost foil effect, it is the darkest Barry M silver.

Pudding Lane is second which is surprising as I prefer darker polishes generally. However I have reached for this polish a lot throughout 2022, I use it as a base or as in some sort of nail art.

So that leaves Liquid Vinyl as the winner, I recently wrote about this quickly becoming my most used nail polish in a Topic Tuesday post.

Nail Polish Battle 2022: Blues

Today's battle is blue polishes, and I have 11 to whittle down.

Not sure what happened to the photo of the top three, I've picked two flakies and one magnetic;

The first to go was Ecstasy, while I really like it using a magnetic takes some effort to use whereas flakies aren't so much effort.

In second place is Minty Fresh, it is a light blue base with blue metallic flakies. It is very unique within my collection.

So the winner of the blues is Stolen Flame, it is more of a blurple than a standard blue and is packed with flakies and micro holo glitters.

Nail Polish Battle 2022: Pink and Red

Now that it's December, it's time for my annual nail polish battle. I find it interesting to look back over the year at the new polishes I have acquired and seeing which ones are my favourites.

Since last years nail polish battle I have 100 new nail polishes which is 28 more than last year. Today's battle is pink and red polishes, and it seems like the majority of these are from Barry M.

Pink is one of my least worn polishes so cutting the 18 down to three wasn't too difficult;

Romantic was the first to go from the three, its quite bright.

Beetroot and Chase were harder to choose from, ultimately it became against cream and shimmer finishes. Beetroot came second as in this round I preferred the cream finish.

So Chase is the winner, it is a cream berry shade;
